The Bible
There are 66 books in the Bible; 39 Old Testament, 27 New Testament.
40 different authors. (8 possibly 9 authors New Testament)
Books were written within a roughly 1500 year span. ( 1400 BC -100 AD)
New Testament has four genres; The Gospel, Acts of the apostles, the epistles, apocalypse.
The Catholic Bible has 46 Books ( old testament)
Apocrypha books: The Apocrypha is a collection of books written in the four centuries between the Old and New Testaments. Though the Apocrypha is not Scripture, many Protestants (including Luther, Calvin, and other Reformers) have found the collection useful historically, theologically, and spiritually. Discerning readers of the Apocrypha gain a fuller understanding of first-century Judaism, including the messianic fervor that led, in part, to Jesus’s passion.
Technically, a pseude-pig-rapha is a book written in a biblical style and ascribed to an author who did not write it. During the inter testament times some assumed names of others to write possibly to encourage others during these silent years. ( Enoch, The book of Jubilee’s, Baruch, etc..)
The new is in the old concealed and the old is in the new revealed.
Thats why we use the children’s curriculum we have because it threads the story of Jesus through entire Bible.
The New testament requirements was written
Three principal criteria seemed to emerge which the early church used in recognizing books that had been God-inspired and thus canonical:(6) apostolic origin, recognition by the church, and apostolic content. Luke was Pauls protoge’, Peter was Mark’s historical source.
The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.
Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.
It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed.
Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.
It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

Dogmatic people study scripture to not submit to it’s authority but rather have the authority themselves. They’re self-righteously empowered by it.

The Psalmist felt that as he walked the road of life, the word of God made his steps clear. He would not know where to step without the guidance of God’s word.

Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. God’s Word so lived is a guarantee of Christian success. Not that it promises a life without problems, but it does insure a life able to deal with anything, because it takes full advantage of God’s presence and promises.
In 1929, Jimmy Doolittle became the first pilot to take off, fly and land an airplane using instruments alone, without a view outside the cockpit.

turn and bank indicator (turn direction and coordination) With a well balanced turn, passengers may not even realize the aircraft is turning unless they are viewing objects outside the aircraft.
vertical speed indicator (feet per minute) displays that information to the pilot as a rate of climb or descent in feet per minute, meters per second or knots.
artificial horizon (attitude indication) shows the aircraft's relation to the horizon. From this the pilot can tell whether the wings are level (roll) and if the aircraft nose is pointing above or below the horizon (pitch).
directional gyro / heading indicator (degrees) is a flight instrument used in an aircraft to inform the pilot of the aircraft's heading.
Spatial disorientation, spatial unawareness, or "Spatial-D" is the inability to determine one's position, location, and motion relative to their environment
If the pilot is not proficient in the use of gyroscopic flight instruments, these errors will build up to a point that control of the aircraft is lost, usually in a steep, diving turn known as a graveyard spiral. During the entire time, leading up to and well into the maneuver, the pilot remains unaware that he is turning, believing that he is maintaining straight flight. One of the most famous mishaps in aviation history involving the graveyard spiral is the crash involving John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1999.[5]
In aviation, a graveyard spiral is a dangerous spiral dive entered into accidentally by a pilot who is not trained or not proficient in instrument flight when flying in instrument meteorological conditions (IMC).[1] Other names for this phenomenon include "suicide spiral", "deadly spiral", "death spiral" and "vicious spiral".[2]
The graveyard spiral consists of both physiological and physical components. Mechanical failure is often a result, but generally not a causal factor, as it is the pilot’s sense of equilibrium which leads to the spiral dive. Flying by "the seat of the pants", and failing to recognize and/or respond to instrument readings, is the most common source of controlled flight into terrain, where an airplane controlled by a pilot hits the ground.[3]
Anyone in an aircraft that is making a coordinated turn, no matter how steep, will have little or no sensation of being tilted in the air unless the horizon is visible. Similarly, it is possible to gradually climb or descend without a noticeable change in pressure against the seat. In some aircraft, it is possible to execute a loop without pulling negative G so that, without visual reference, the pilot could be upside down without being aware of it.[

A controlled flight into terrain (CFIT, usually pronounced cee-fit) is an accident in which an airworthy aircraft, under pilot control, is unintentionally flown into the ground, a mountain, a body of water or an obstacle.

God’s Word diagnoses the condition of man with a surgeon’s precision. It lays open our heart and discerns our spiritual health.
God’s Word reaches us with surprising precision, and the Holy Spirit empowers the ministry of the Word to work deeply in our hearts.
Even to the division of soul and spirit: The writer to the Hebrews makes a distinction between soul and spirit, indicating that a division can be made between them.
