Hatred for Jesus Revealed in Flattery and Deceit

They rush to bring charges against Paul v1

Could’ve just let him go, out of Jerusalem. This demonstrates their hatred for Paul and for Jesus

Tertullus’ empty praise begins with calling Felix a peacemaker, when he was not

Felix’s actions didn’t lead to reforms but to Jewish rebellion

The Jewish people do not acknowledge hims as a peacemaker and reformer

God does not like flattering lips

Psalm 5:8-10

Solomon warns against flattery in Proverbs

Proverbs 26:28

Proverbs 29:5

Paul warns against listening to the flattery of man

Romans 16:17-18

2 Timothy 4:1-5 focus on 3-4

Jude also warns against flatteriers

Jude 16-19

Called Paul a pest, as though he is a disease spreading across the land

Calling him a ringleader is saying he starts riots and rebellions against the Roman Empire

Notice the accusation of attempting to desecrate the temple, there is no evidence of this or any other accusations
