Psalm 97:1–5 ESV
1 The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! 2 Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3 Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around. 4 His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. 5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.

I love the next song we are going to sing. Its one of those songs that redirects my eyes vertical. Its one of the songs that calls me to lift my hands in praise. Its one of those songs that reminds me the greatness of Jesus’ name.
It is powerful because we all experience darkness at one time or another. Maybe today you are here and getting out of bed this morning was a struggle because you don’t want to be here. Maybe you stayed home and are watching online because the darkness that surrounds you is so great. This Song reminds us that the Name of Jesus can and will overcome all that is dark round us. Jesus’ name is light.
It is derived from I’d like to read that for you now

I’m going to ask the ushers to come forward now and we are going to collect the offering.
I know every week at about this time in our service we talk about our offering.
Today I just want to say “thank you.” Thank you for giving to this church.
Because you give weekly to this ministry all kinds of good things happen
Our kids ministry team is able to pass the message on to the next generation.
We’re able to support people who are in need of special help through our benevolence fund
○ It enables us to do our work overseas to help the last, least, and lost.
