Sermon Tone Analysis

*TIMING IS EVERYTHING *  *1st Chronicles 12:32 and of the sons of Issachar, having understanding of the times, to know what Israel should do.

Their heads /were/ two hundred, and all their brothers /were/ at their command.

T*iming can be defined as a moment in time of decision making, or it may be the ability to choose or the choice of the best moment to do or say something.

Background: beginning at verse 23 of this chapter we see that King David was now positioning himself to reign over all Israel he had been king over a divided nation for seven years in Hebron, now after the death of Ishbosheth the youngest son of Saul and Abner the uncle of Saul; David was now coming into Jerusalem joined by 336,600 warriors 1222 captains to rightfully take the throne and reign in Jerusalem.*

*Now the sons of Issachar were men of wisdom and experience and they were knowledgeable of the times.

They were men who understood the *natural times *and seasons.

They understood astrological movements and its affects and the times for plowing, sowing and harvesting.

They also understood the *ceremonial times* and the appropriate times of sacrifices and feast days for on one occasion it states in scripture in Deuteronomy 33:19 the sons of Issachar called the children of Israel to the mountain to offer sacrifices of righteousness.

They also understood the *political times* in which they were intent on knowing the affairs of the people; they had good intelligence from abroad and made use of it and they knew what Israel should do.

In other words they had a steady finger on the pulse of the nation.*

*The sons of Issachar were also skilled in the doctrine of the Law, they were Scribes and men of wisdom they had the ability to interpret the Law of God and what Israel should do.

They understood the *Natural Times,* *Political Times,* *Ceremonial Times* and the *Super Natural Times* for they knew what Israel should do.

David  was now approaching Jerusalem and the tribes were now in alliance with David to sit him upon the throne, and he came with tremendous fire power to overwhelm (“shock and awe “) any holdouts who were still loyal to Saul, and weed out any leftover guerilla fighters or insurgents.

There was not going to be a need for a “surge” or a long campaign to take the throne, what is significant in this chapter is verse 32 “The sons of Issachar” I’m quite sure informed David the timing is right for him to sit on the throne without any bloodshed (to be continued)

/Father and my God I thank you for sending your precious son Jesus in the fullness of time to die for me, and everything you do is based upon timing and your timing is perfect.

Father my desire is to know the plans you have for my life and that I would align myself and my will to your plan you have for me.

*David, based upon God’s timing is now about to ascend to the throne which God had already anointed him for, it was in 1st Samuel 16: 13-14 when Samuel the Prophet anointed David to be king over Israel and the word of God states from that moment “the Spirit of God came mightily upon David from that day forward.”

David was anointed in the midst of his brothers and not in their presence, listen God at times will not reveal to others what he may be doing in an individual’s life until the right time.

The word of God says David after he was anointed to be King was thirty years old (2nd Samuel 5:4), David was king over one tribe (Judah) seven years later he is made king over all Israel.

Seventeen years later David sits in the appointed place which God anointed him for.

Timing is everything, God keeps track of His children and at the right time you will* ascend to the appointed place that you have been anointed for.

Right now I’m speaking to you Pastor, who has no congregation, but in God’s timing it’s going to happen, that single woman who has been anointed to have a husband, I say wait on the Lord and in God’s timing it’s going to happen.

God has anointed His children for an appointed place, but we must not rush God and step out of His will.It may take one year or seventeen years, when the appointed place is revealed it will be the right time.

Until then be sensitive of the anointing that is upon you which prepares you for your appointment, timing is everything (to be continued)

 

/Father, I’m reminded that You have predestined us for Your glory and our lives or in Your omnipotent hands.

Yes Lord You do know the plans You have for us that will not harm us but it will bring about that which is profitable and to Your glory.

Oh God help us to wait on You today and not get weary in well doing, for we will obtain that which we were anointed for, it’s in Jesus name I pray.

**T*iming,* I*nnovative, *M*easurable*, E*ffectiveness,* S*ustainable*, **Reading again this verse I want to draw our attention again to the “Times” which is significant in the life of the church or in the life of individuals, if we are to move forward we must understand the times and what God is doing.

“T.I.M.E.S” as an acronym can be a simple way as a reminder to all of us as we move forward in the will of God.*

*T*iming*: Ecclesiastes 3:1* states: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:” In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth, Jehovah God is eternal and is not limited to time there is no beginning or ending within the Triune Godhead.

God’s creation was based upon timing, God did not decide at that very moment to be creative because He was bored or lonely.

Time has no power over our eternal God, Our Jehovah God is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Immutable and Timely, He has done everything in a timely way and all His works are based upon timing.

For the child of God it is the will of God that we would be sensitive to the Spirit and to know what God’s purpose is for our lives.

The word of God states that “the steps of good man is ordered of the Lord”(Psalms 37:23) this very verse means in God’s timing a man’s way has already been established and carefully orchestrated  for him and the favor of God is upon his life.

Having said that let us not be presumptuous and begin to believe whatever I do God’s favor will be upon it.

God has mapped out a plan for our lives and we are to follow that plan and timing has a lot to do with it.

We can at times step out of the will of God when we become arrogant or ignorant to what God may be doing in our lives at any given moment.

When God created Adam it was based upon timing, Adam was to have dominion, but first there had to be an atmosphere and living things for him to have dominion over.

Eve was created based upon timing after Adam had named everything and had to go through that process to come to the realization that there was not a helpmate suitable for him.

Timing is everything (To be continued)

 

/Father, help me this morning to be sensitive to the steps You have established this day for me.

I do not want to be distracted by the world’s standards, but my desire is to be attracted to your plan and for you to have delight in my obedience.

**T*iming,* I*nnovative, *M*easurable*, E*ffectiveness,* S*ustainable*.

*When God created Adam it was based upon timing, Adam was to have dominion, but first there had to be an atmosphere and living things for him to have dominion over.

Eve was created based upon timing, after Adam had named everything and had to go through that process to come to the realization that there was not a helpmate suitable for him.

"Timing is everything".

Our initial observation as we looked at the acronym T.I.M.E.S. was the word “timing” now let us look at the “I” Innovative is defined as being new or creative, when Jehovah God spoke this world into existence He created that which was without form and was void and God as Creator spoke from His soul and heart which was visional.

God said let us make man in our own image and likeness, Adam was created with the visionary ability to be creative in a new world to name every living creature, Genesis 2: 19-20 and out of the ground Jehovah Elohim had formed every animal of the field and all fowl of the heavens, and brought /them/ to Adam, to see what he would call them; and whatever Man called each living soul, that was its name.

And Man gave names to all cattle and to the fowl of the heavens, and to every beast of the field; but as for Adam, he found no helpmate, that was of his kind.

Now I do not want you to miss this, God presented every living creature to Adam to see what he would name them, the creative mind of Adam would appraise the creatures before him and properly name them and not having to rename them and their names have stood the test of time.

Adam not only named all animals and fowl and every creeping thing, but he also named the newly formed human being from his thirteenth rib, in which God presented before him.

Adam named her woman because she was made from man, what a brilliant and *innovative* and visionary mind of Adam.
