Glorious Love Dr. Sam Starter / General Advent / Incarnation; Jesus: Divinity; Love / John 1:1–18; 1 John 3:4–10; Romans 5:1–11 Jesus' divinity is the most glorious expression of God's love for us. Jesus is the full expression of God. John 1:1–3 ESV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. Why is it important that Jesus is God and not just someone who tells us about God or is a great example of how to live? The prophets, priests, and kings in the Old Testament were like postcards of Hawaii. They give you a good picture, but they are actually a flimsy representation of the real thing. › What do you think of when you think of God? A.W. Tozer said, “What comes to your mind when you think about God is the most important part of you. Jesus came to share God’s life with us. John 1:4 ESV In him was life, and the life was the light of men. What is the significance of Jesus having life in him and not just someone who knows the way to life? Page 1.
