we are fastly approaching a new year… as a matter of fact we are just a couple of minutes from the end of another decade.. but not just any decade… many of us saw the first African American president… many witnessed the rise of young men being killed by the same people who took an oath to protect and serve the very ones that killed....
we witnessed the rise of the me too movement and at the same time the fall .. of a role model to so many men .. who simply wanted to know .. what it looked like to build and maintain a family.... yes bill cosby.. who was one of my favorite actors… and role models.. fell from the graces of americas eye....
however, he may be the one that is sitting behind bars.. . but in reality there are many other .. rich and powerful men who have done the same and much worst.... the bible is right… in
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

in other words.. those things that you continue to do in the dark… when you think none is looking.. the lord will expose you...
yes.. this was a decade of pandoras box being opened… a decade of school shooting … one after another… a decade where it seemed that america said… and no longer sang the song....
this land is your land…
from california to the new york island
this land was made for you and me..
.. but they song the song… this is my land.. .. it may have been made by you… but its for me… so get out....
yes a decade.. where we saw more and more millionares… but less and less love…
a season a time that it seem like the Lord decided to uncover some of the mess thats.. going on in our societies… in our families.. in our homes…and yes even in dome of our churches...
a season a decade of more and more suicides… and the devil playing with the minds of the lords poeple… it did not matter if you were rich or poor.. skinny or fat… the devil did not care if you were black or white.... as a matter of fact he didnt even care if you sang the song...
im on the battle field fighting for the lord...
this was a decade of Pastors taking there own lives… . divorces.. became more common.. teen violence became more ramped....
and for some… 2019 was the hardest of them all… but because your here tonight …you may have been through the storm and rain… but you made it...
why dont you tell somebody … I made it....

here we are… 20/20...
when most people think of 20/20 .. they think about perfect sight… they think about the fact that .... and may even sing the song..... I can see clearly now.... .. and at many churches around the world.. they are preaching sermons on being able to see clearly… the importance of making the right decisions in 20/20.. because if you dont they will haunt you for the rest of your life....... while that may be a great message. and the word for another house…
that is no the word the Lord gave me for this house… the name of this house.. the name of this church is .. THE GREATER FAITH TEMPLE...... why because when you walk in this church.... you will find people with testimonies… that it took me having faith in God....to make it....
im not here because of my good looks … i didnt make it thru 2019… i dint make it thru another decade.. because… of some fancy words.... positon.. or title.... but it took .. me walking by faith .. and not by sight.....
as we get ready to celebrate a new year… a new decade.. a new opportunity .. a new you… i have to you the word of the Lord...
IV.
1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Lord close shield our eyes… to distractions.. and.. close ours ears from all the mess and junk .. and open our hearts and souls so that we will be able to hear your voice… ..Lord.. dont let the habits of our past .. constrain and choke out our future… help us live a life that is pleasing in thy sight and not a stink in thy nostrils…in Jesus name amen...
