Vision 20/20 The Last Reformation

Welcome to 2020. You made it. may sound like science fiction but we’ve arrived at a New Year and a New Decade.
Thank-you everyone for the Love Offering and words of appreciation
2019 was a very challenging year
God prepared us by telling me 2019 was to be a year of transition. Preparing for What God wanted to do in 2020
Every Prophesy has been fulfilled but 1
Revelation 19:7 NASB95
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.”
God’s preparing His Bride for His return.
I believe 2020 is the beginning of the fulfillment of many of the prophesies God has given me over the years.
So excuse me If I’m a wee bit excited!!
But this is a Break through Year!!
The verse God gave me for 2020 is found in Isaiah 43
Isaiah 43:18–19 NASB95
“Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
2020 Prophesy
Isaiah 54:2 NASB95
“Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs.
2020 is a Years of New beginnings. do not dwell on the past. But learn from it.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB95
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Expect greater things, increase your expectancy. God will not disappoint. What God’s about to do, He has never done before on the earth.
Isaiah 43:18–19 NASB95
“Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
Do not resuse old containers, for God is giving you a new container to house His Glory that He will release upon the earth.
Do not try something because it worked in the past, likewise do not discount something because it never met your expectations. Walk in step with the Holy Spirit. He will equip and empower you
God will reiterate Joel 2:28
Joel 2:28 NASB95
“It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.
For those who hunger will be filled, those who are content will never be satisfied. Prophesy is not just for the exalted, but any who hunger after God’s presence. For God wants to share His heart with his creation and chooses His children to make the connection. Use the tools God has supplied to carry out His desires.
Matthew 28:19–20 NASB95
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
God’s heart is calling His children home. First the dechurched, then the unchurched. 2020 will be the beginning of the biggest calling of God’s children home.
Welcome them into your lives, for bonds of friendship will form, that will seem to be already lifelong
God is giving you a grace to see His heart on people, He does not expect you to judge but to Love, not to fix, but restore.
Make time to invest in relationships without expectation of return.
Through Holy Spirit God will release giftings to the young and new believers that the experienced haved desired for years
Don’t become jealous, but cheer them on. Walk in His perfect peace, no longer striving but walking in step with Holy Spirit.
2020 is God’s year of new beginnings, new births, restored dreams and empowered believers. The age of denominations is coming to an end, and the restoration of the Apostolic and Prophetic. Those who embrace the Holy Spirits call will be blessed, and walk in perfect peace in step with the Father.
Holy Spirit’s gifts will be released on all those who believe, and those newly gifted will operate as with a lifetime of experience.
The coming wave of God’s grace and mercy will afford opportunity to encounter His presence in Greater ways.
Hebrews 2:4 NASB95
God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.
will be common place in my people. The supernatural will become natural for God’s Children.
Psalm 118:26 NASB95
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.
End of 2020 word
1) New Building? Multiple Services
2) Inner healing release from the past
3) Raise expectations
4) Use the available tool for His Glory
A little bit of History
503 years ago (1517) there was a little thing that occured that caused a course correction in God’s Church
its become known as the Reformation.
You see the Church had lost track of its purpose and began going after the wrong thing
Its the beginning of the time in which the protestant Church broke off of the Catholic Church.
Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the Church door.
The 95 items that he felt the Catholic church had gone astray and He wanted to bring it back on track
The major issue was selling of Indulgences, tied to that was the Pope has no power over purgatory and buying indulgences gives people a false sense of security and endangers their salvation.
What is purgatory?
A place where people go after they die, kinda a midway point between earth and Heaven/Hell
it was told to be a place of cleansing or purification.
What were indulgences?
Well to answer this you need to know the Pope (Leo X) wanted to build St Peter’s basilica, just didn’t want to use his own money to do it.
Instead he began a fundraising program called selling indulgences.
So if you had the financial means you could buy your way out of purgatory.
In essence you could live however you wanted, and if you gave enough money to the church you could bypass Purgatory and go straight to heaven.
They also extended the selling of indulgences so you could buy other peoples way out of Purgatory.
Purgatory and the selling of indulgences was a scheme cooked up by the popes to extort money from the people to build their lavish buildings and feed their coffers.
So just to be clear,
Purgatory does not exist in the Bible, and buying your way into heaven is not an option.
Luther knew this and challenged the catholic church. The pope fought back and excommunicated Luther.
But the timing was perfect because of 1 invention.
Less than 80 years earlier Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press (1440)
by the time of Luther is was just becoming common
When Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the church door at Wittenberg on the 31st of October 1517, it's possible that no one would have noticed if not for the press.
He used the press so well because he knew his audience and used the language of the people.
Martin Luther was able to get His message out to the masses because He was willing to use new technology to reach them.
If Martin Luther resisted the printing press in favour of doing things the way they have always been done.
The Reformation would not have happened.
There would possibly be no protestant Church. And everyone would be giving their money to the church to buy their way into heaven.
Why do I bring this up today?
Well just like 500 years ago the technology of the Printing Press changed the world and allowed Martin Luther to spread his message
We are in a similar jump in technology.
The Printing press changed the flow of information. It sped up transmission, and allowed you to share your message around the world.
What did I just describe in today’s terms
The internet
Many of you may not know this but the Internet got its start in the 1960’s with ARPANET Advanced Research Projects Agency Network. Originally funded by the U.S. Department of Defense
On October 29, 1969, ARPAnet delivered its first message: a “node-to-node” communication from one computer to another.
ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1, 1983, and from there researchers began to assemble the “network of networks” that became the modern Internet.
The online world then took on a more recognizable form in 1990, when computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web.
Over the last 30 years the internet has expanded and access has sped up considerably
I was fortunate I was one of the early users of the internet. In fact I was using its functionality before the internet even existed
in the early 90s My mom had a job in which she needed a home computer and a modem to send in reports.
I quickly discovered how to use these tools to connect with people around the world using Bulletin Board Systems
Then when netscape navigator came out I was introduced to the World wide web.
Why do I tell you all this.
Martin Luther used the printing press to print his 95 theses and other works,
But did you know the first thing printed on the Gutenburg Press was the Bible
God uses man’s technology for His own purposes
I’m not denying the internet can be a very dark place.
30% of bandwidth is porn
And everything on the internet is true!
take a look at this meme
or this one
Social media has created more social breakdown than any other technology
People stop being friends simply because of a post
But we have to remember its just a tool
The printing press was a tooll and it was used for good and bad.
I believe God is calling us to use the tool of the internet to spread His message like never before in History
1 Corinthians 9:20–22 NASB95
To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under the Law; to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.
If I was to do a quick survey and ask how many people came to this church via the internet?
Audience response
The technology of the internet should never take the place of the church meeting together, but the church should never be afraid to use the tool of the internet to reach the world, or the people around us!
We will talk more about this in the future, but allow me to expand on why I believe this is so important in 2020!
5)Greater focus on Prophesy
6) Need to focus on disciple making (The Kingdom Way)
7) Restoration of Apostle and Prophets
Ephesians 4:11–13 NASB95
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
8) Greater access to His presence
9) Every day Jane & Joe believer walking in the supernatural
10) God’s Blessings are coming
