intro

Its no secret - our lives are crazy rushed. It turns out that all the technological advancments have not made life any easier, but rather have made it busier than its ever been before.
Jobs that our granpaernts would take days, if not weeks to do, are done expected to be done is hours.
Taj mahall took 30 yeara to build, the gaeway shopping center, over 15x its size was built in 30 months.
Time, as a currency has gotten far rarer than its ever been.
And when we misuse the short time that we have - thats a tradgy.
Jesus said:
Matthew 6:31–34 AV
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Jesus tells us to stop waisting time worrying about tomorrow. And we could also say that we must stop waisting time overthinking yesterday.
Many of us live under the crushing burden of accumulated yesterdays and fearful tomorrows.
Doing so robs us of the opportunity to live fully in the present.
Worry does not empty tomorrow of its problems, it only empties today of its strength
Someone has said that there are two days that we should eliminate from our calendar: yesterday and tomorrow.
We must beware lest we let yesterday or tomorrow hinder us from doing our best today.
Note: his is not speaking about wise planning and poreparing for the future, nor is this suggesting not learning from yesterdays mistakes.
Its about making proper use of the presnt time - many people live in a constant state of what if...
What if i loose my job, what if i get sick, what if this, what if that...
Others are guilty of embittering the present by filling our minds with regrets concerning the things that have happened in the past.

The Stewardship of Time

Time is loaned to us to be used in God’s service. We cannot be too diligent in the proper use of time.
Psalm 90:12 AV
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Number our days - what a powerful word - ie: Dont waste Time worrying about thinks you cannot controll.
Time is short my friends, its way shorter than you think.
James 4:14 AV
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
I walk in the cemetary almost everyday - i do it maily for the bird watching - but i cannot notice that between a few small numbers lies an entire life.
How do we number our days?
Some starters we have to divert our energy spent on worry on things more meaningful.

Thanks Giving

Psalm 118:24 AV
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Any time spend in thanksgiving is time well spent.
1: Thank God for the gift of life and for another day.
2: Thank God for the gift of faith that has let God come into your life.
3. Thank God for the members of your family.
4. If you are able to work, thank God for this privilege.
5. Thank God for friends.
6. Thank God for what he is going to do in your heart and life during the day.
7: Thank God for your church and your spiritual leaders.
The list goes on....
Beginning each day with an attitude and prayer of thanksgiving will set the tone for the day.

Prayer

Can you imagine the change in your life if you spend half as time praying as you did watching TV. You would be so on fire!
Now im not saying CUT OUT THE TV!!! Tv is fine, but not at the expence of prayer.
There is and always has been a spiritual battle over time spent in prayer and time spent doing nothing.
Matthew 26:40 AV
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
I echo the words of Jesus: Can you not even pray for 1 hour?
It is amazing the thinks we will MAKE time for: we make time to prepare a meal, but man shall not live on bread alone. This 2020 many will make time to go to the gym or make time to go for a walk - which is lovly, BUT:
1 Timothy 4:8 AV
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Bible Study

Do you know that the world is getting dumber and dumber. Every year the standard gets lower and lower, pass used to be 60%, then 50..40…30…28..
The world is getting dumber, nations are getting dumber, people are getting dumber. People now days dont even know that you onbly get 2 genders: men and Woman.
Even “christians” are getting dumber: Many dont know that sin will always be sin no matter how you feel about it. Sexual immorality will not be tolerated by God.
Why? Why is everyone so damn dumb?
John 6:66–68 AV
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
Wisdom comes from the Word of God - no where lese will you find true wisdom.
Time spent in the Word - reading, studying, meditating - that is time well spent.

Good Works

Galatians 6:9 AV
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Good works is simply the living out of our chrisrian life. And it means making a diligent effort to be obedient to God.
Husbands: Do at least 1 think of leadership as head of your house hold, comminicate your love to your wife.
Wives: Dont always tear down your husband, cheer him on, find at least 1 think to thank him for each day.
Parents: never loose a single day to teach and train your children. Before you know it they will be grown up and lesson you failed to teach might be their downfall in life.
To the young...
Ecclesiastes 11:9 AV
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
Let your light shine.
These are just a few.
Jesus put it this way:
John 9:4 AV
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
We live in evil days. Evil and dark forces march onward everyday. Satan keeps attacking the church, the world never stops its barrage and the flesh never stays dead for long.
In all this evil God has called us to redeem the time.
Ephesians 5:16 AV
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Time spend in thanksgiving, in paryer, in the word, in the church is ALWAYS time redeemed.
