Purified
What does that mean
what does it mean to be purified
Definition means to have contaminants removed
to be cleansed
to make something pure
to make something free from anything that debases or pollutes something.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
1 john 3
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
he sent his one and only son
one who had not sin and knew no sin
he didnt have sin and become sin
God sending his son (tanner)
See he sent his son to become sin so that we could live
he sent his son so that we could be purified
the blood of Jesus cleaned us of our sins
he was beaten

and the shed of his blood purified us
Adam and Eve eat of the fruit
see the first thing that they did was run
what a lot of us do when we sin or get in trouble right?
we run and hide
but really
they are doing, what we are doing is running from our creator
alot like we do when we run from our parents
Story of me as a child hiding from my mom when i got in trouble
see the there is only one problem
you are trying to hide from the creator of the universe
the omnicient
the omnipotent
the omnipresent God
the one who everywhere and everything at one time

they were ashamed
a lot like i was when my mom was mad at me
they were embarrassed
but again
really
is hiding their shame even possible?
And as creator he had all the right to destroy his creation
So it made me think of my daughter the profectionist
and when a she is drawing and it doesnt turn out the way that she wants it, she tears it up and starts over again
she gets frustrated and she tears it up
do you ever wonder if god ever gets frustrated with his creation
or if you like me do you ever wonder if he is ever watching us like my wife watches a lifetime movie
see and god had all right
he had created it
he had all right to destroy it
but he didnt make a mistake
so he didnt
I recently used this to explain gods grace
but as i began to look at it further i saw the perfection of his love within the story as well.
i mean they hid themselves
and they covered themselves in leaves
a lot of theologians say that immediately the moment that they ate of the of the fruit that they knew that they were naked and wanted to clothe themselves because they were ashamed
But see what i think is that they were ashamed and they were trying to hide their sin
see just like when i disappointed my mom i went and hid
and that is the same thing that i believe happened here
And so in his perfect wisdom God knew what to do
he had a plan
He killed an animal and clothed them
but it wasnt the skins of an animal that saved them
but the shedding of the blood that purified them
and if you are curious, here is where you see the beginning of blood sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins
so hear me, it was not the physical thing, the blood the obedience of such that made god smile
And it is all throug the OT that you see the shedding of blood for the atonement of ones sins
The purification of blood
they didnt have what we have today
? what do we have today that they didnt have then?
But the shedding of blood was used in the act of ones purification
so again understand that it wasnt the blood but the obedience of the act
and it was in the NT that God gave his son, the ultimate sacrifice
and the ultimate shed of blood took place in order to purify of us our sins
And god knew that the mere shedding of blood did not have the power and authority to purify hsi creation
but he knew that if he sent his son down as the sacrificial lamb that he could reinitiate his power plan
That we could not just live righteous and that our desire for perfection and righteousness would not do
Righteousness (how it was told to me)
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
For this perfecting is a way of purification
as you cannot be perfect and without blemish
i mean it is humanly impossible
DID YOU CATCH THAT?
But if we perfect the traits of our trials
faith to virtue
virtue to knowledge
knowledge to self control
self control with steadfastness
steadfastness to godliness
godliness with brotherly affection
charity and love
For it is these qualities that as they are exercised and perfected, purified
that they never fail
dont believe me?

its in YOUR bible
for it is within the process in which perfection causes ones calling to be elect
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
for it is that within this process
within this perfection
that the purification takes place
it is within this process that a metamorphosis takes place
the process of the caterpillar
see it is very interesting
the caterpillar knows what time it is
they know when it is time to grow up
and so when it is time
they create an egg
a shelter
a protection
one thing that i didnt know was that if you look close to the egg that you can see the caterpillar growing inside
does that sound at all familiar
because as we go through our crap, alot of it is public and people can look right on into our lives
its a lot like our everyday loves
we see the trials and tribulations of our lives
we live many of them publically
so it is when you look close that you will watch the forming and growth of a thing
a lot like our everyday lives
but there is a stage in the egg in which the caterpillar is completely disolved into a soup and basically recreated
it is within this that a change takes place
then at sometime the caterpillar knows when it is time to emerge
now he doesnt just decide its time and comes out but there is force and fighting to get out of his long overdue home
and the now butterfly is not perfect
but a perfecting has taken place
and it is within this soup that a purification process happens
and admit it,
a lot of times we feel like we are or have been in the soup
well let me remind you and enforce in you that within that soup a purification is taking place
-and a lot of tikes we feel like that
but we are being purified
and in
The father sent his son to complete the purification process
who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
And again,
“I will put my trust in him.”
And again,
“Behold, I and the children God has given me.”
Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
see when adam sinned he created a chain reaction
a chain reaction that created a sin nature for God’s creation
you and me
we were born with a sin nature
But see God had a plan
an action plan
and in this plan he sent his osne
one who knew no sin to become sin so that we could live
to live in and learn what we learned so that we would walk in his foot steps as he walked without blemish
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
and it was within this sacrfice
the shedding of his blood
and the death on the cross
in which we were purified
leading to a continuous systematic of blood shed
And today, all you have to do is accept him
honor him
and revere him
for he paid a price for you
And in that he marked and sealed you
he bought you into his family and called you son
as if he took a branding iron and sealed you
as his son
as his daughter
thus his son Jesus paid the price for your purification
YOU ARE TRIED BY FIRE
The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
