HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS!

NASB9523 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
NASB9514 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
I.THROUGH JESUS’ COMING, THE LORD MEETS YOUR DEEPEST NEED. (To be at home with Him)
A. JESUS DOES NOT NEED YOU.
B. YOU DESPERATELY NEED HIM.
II. HIS COMING DECLARES
A. THAT HE DEEPLY WANTS TO BE WITH YOU.
B. HIS BEING WITH US, AND YOU, DECLARES YOUR VALUE TO HIM. (DO YOU VALUE HIM AS MUCH AS HE VALUES YOU?)
1. HE CARES FOR YOU MORE THAN HEAVEN. (Phi. 2:5-8)
2. HE CARES FOR YOU MORE THAN PERSONAL COMFORT. (Became flesh means “tented” with you).
III. HIS PRESENCE WILL COMFORT YOU AS YOU WALK THROUGH LIFE AND DEATH.
A. HIS “TENTING” DENOTES WE ARE NOT HOME. (; ; )
NASB959 By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; 10 for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
NASB9514 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
B. WE DISPLAY OUR DESIRE FOR HIM BY GATHERING REGULARLY IN HIS NAME.
C. AS WE CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS AND SUNDAYS, WE PREPARE FOR THE DAY WHEN HE JOINS US AGAIN! (). NASB951 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
NASB9525 “As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth. 26 “Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God; 27 Whom I myself shall behold, And whom my eyes will see and not another. My heart faints within me!
