Introduction

(Acts 17.1-10)

I. The Bereans were Noble Because of Their Attitude Towards God's Word.

They received the word with all readiness of mind"

  • A. Their Hearts were Open (1 Thess. 2.13;Jam. 1.21)
  • B. Their Hearts were Hungry (Job 23.12;Psa. 119.103;Jer. 15.16)

II. The Bereans were Noble Because of Their Action Towards God's Word.

searched the Scriptures daily whether those things were so

  • A. The Bereans were Deliberate (Jn. 5.39)
  • B. The Bereans were Discerning (Isa. 8.20)
  • C. The Bereans were Diligent (Josh. 1.8;Psa. 1.2)

Result: Therefore many of them believed(Acts 17.12a)
