The man of 12:2

• This is Paul—why?: 1) Firsthand witness; 2) Lacks awareness as to whether this is in the body or out; 3) What is the point if he is talking about someone else; 4) Visions—they ae given “to me”—12:7

2 Corinthians 12:1-6

• The visions, 12:1-6

• The aftermath, 12:7-10: 1) Suffering if our attitude is right can benefit; 2) The suffering of v. 7—preventative; 3) “Buffet me”—present tense; 4) The thorn comes from God, and he used Satan to deliver; 5) He has a great attitude, vv. 8-9; 6) Paul’s conclusion—“most gladly”—v. 10
