Sent to do glorious good

Summary of the series
During the Christmas season we celebrate the glorious event of the Son being sent into the world by His Father. Jesus is the sent one who is the incarnate God. He is good news for the world. Usually, we celebrate this being sent as something external to us, something that is good news for us but never do we consider how his being sent might decide what our lives will be about. This was never the intention.
After the resurrection Jesus spoke to his disciples, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” In the celebration of Advent and Jesus’ birth, we find how God is sending us. In the very beginning of Jesus’ life, we receive the contours for what our life is to be about. Join us this Advent as we learn and embrace the calling to be Sent.
