Things you hear In Church or in Life

Things you hear In Church or in Life

ME
Though we are not good enough god loves us yet we are not good enough but if we keep coming here we will be better and he will still love us.
If you sin your going to hell
Gods not happy with you sinning
You make mistakes in your life then God punishes you
When you make bad decisions God allows those bad things to teach you a lesson.

What a load of Bologna

WE
We somtimes listen to things and think they have to be right
Heres is why you are good enough
We sometimes allow things like ideas that we are not good enough in life to drive us
We are good enough
We allow thoughts like that to take us over and we allow that to drive us.
We need to know the truth of the Bible and what Jesus meant not what Churches have to say or other christians
God Loves us regardless
Know the truth right from Gods word.
SO therefore the idea that you we are not good enough, or your not good enough is a load of ballony.

Get rid of these Ideas

GOD
Heres why all this is Ballony
Scriptures that tell us we are loved
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
If we are not Good enough why would God send his only son to come and save us?
Surely if God did not love us he would have left us and never bothered with us
This begins to show that we are good enough and God cares about us and always has done.
John 3:16
Luke 12:7 ESV
Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
God values us, we are his greatest creation
The bible says we are made in the image the of God
Therefore we are loved by the father because we are like the father
Revelation 3:20 ESV
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
The father stands and knocks on the doors of our hearts and waits for us to anwser
He wants a personal relationship with us all he wants to be close to us
Therefore are we not good enough, if we were not good enough do you think he would go to all this trouble, to have a personal relationship with us all.
Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
Some will say the Old Testament is different to the New Testament and that God was different then.
This is not true
What is true that even in the Old Testament you see example after example of the Fathers Love.
Deut 3:
Here in Deuteronomy you see the Lord God the same father who loves us say to Isarel that I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Therfore Israel were good enough for God the father to care about them.
Therefore we can take the same conclusion.
Matthew 28:20 ESV
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20
Jesus in the new testament utters similar words to the same meaning to the Desciples and also in turn to us
Heres is why you are good enough
We are good enough
Jesus says to us he will never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore we are good enough
God Loves us regardless
We are valued by the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to be brothers and sisters, daughters and sons of the fahter in heaven.
We are good enough.
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
When God the Father sent his son Jesus to come down to earth
This allowed God to be given another name Immanuel
It is a name that demonstrates God’s Presence with his People
It is a name that demonstrates deliverance, that God did once again deliver Israel from their pain and suffering
It is also a name that shows us that God is a God of deliverance and will deliver you from your own pain and suffering
It is a name that shows us that God is still with us today.
It is a word that appears twice in the Bible and means God with us.
Isaiah 7:14 ESV
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isiaiah 7:14
First it was mentioned as a prophecy by Isaiah in the Old Testament to say that Israel is going to have a saviour come.
That God the Father, the God of Israel, Abraham, Jacob and David is going to come down in the flesh and be with us.
Matthew 1:23 ESV
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).
Then the promise is fullfilled later on in the bible in the new testament
So we are Good enough and are loved by God.

Omnipresent

This brings us onto one of the terms to Theologically Describe God
You may of heard the Three Terms and they are:
Omnipresent = God is all present, everywhere all the time
Omniscient = God is all knowing, God knows everything
Omnipotent= God is all Powerful, God is able to do all things
In God coming down from heaven this demonstrated one of themes that was and is used to describe who God is.
Omnipresent
Immanuel is to mean that God is with us and his presence is among us
Therefore we are good enough and God is still with us today.
When Jesus went to heaven he then sent his holy spirit down to us he never left us
The Holy Spirit is just like Jesus and allows God to still be amongst us today.
The Holy Spirit has dwelt on this earth since the beginning of time
When Jesus died and rose again we were able to open that relationship with God the father in heaven and once again have the holy spirit amongst us.
How Close do you think God is to us today?
2 Corinthians 10:5 ESV
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
Paul Said...
Take these crazy idead that we are not good enough away
Ignore what these other churches have said
Dont go with religion lets begin to understand the Love of God
Know the Love of Christ Not What Religion Tells us

Knowing this Truth

Jesus Loves Me

Jesus Loves Me
He came to be with us

Jesus Loves Me

One of the world’s best known children’s songs is “Jesus Loves Me”.
Jesus loves me this I know For the bible tells me so Little ones to him belong They are weak but he is strong
The song was originally composed for a novel, Say and Seal, published in 1860. It tells the story of a little boy, Johnny who is sick and dying. He is being rocked in the arms of his Sunday School teacher John Linden and asks John to sing him a song. John sings “Jesus Loves Me”.
The profundity of that song extends way beyond simplistic childhood faith. Karl Barth was one of the most influential theologians of the twentieth century. He possessed a brilliant mind and wrote thousands of words exploring the interrelation of faith, theology and culture. Towards the end of his life Barth gave a lecture at the University of Chicago Divinity School. At the end of the lecture he was asked what he considered to be the greatest theological discovery of his life.
Everyone sat with bated breath ready for an extended and complex answer. Karl Barth paused for a moment, then smiled and said “The greatest theological insight that I have ever had is this: Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so!”
Karl Barth One the most Famous Theologians Says This: “The greatest theological insight that I have ever had is this: Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so!”
Bob Goff book (Love Does)

You have a new Found Confidence about you that you just know that your going to be okay your life will be okay everything your going through will work out because God loves you.
Bob Goff says once you know Gods Love you know who you are and can live with confidence and purpose.

What this means for Us

WE
Psalm
Last week I gave a vision of what our Church will end up being in years to come
With Faith
There are many things that this vision will require but the first one that it needs is a church that knows how to Love
How to know that God Loves us individually
Then to Love Others
Once were onto the revelation that God does actually love you and that you no longer think your not good enough
You will achieve greater things in life for yourself but also for the Gospel
This church will start popping once we know the revelation of God’s love
Love and peace will start to overflow out of this church because of the Love of Christ.
