Introduction

A. Family: Who do you treat like family?
B. Because we are a family, we must care for those who have no family

Three Values: Respect, Compassion, Responsibility

1. The Value of Respect

A. Older, younger, all ages: mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters. (v.1-2)
B. Does respect primarily mean....niceness, kindness?
C. This is how sexual harassment should be terminated. Respect!

2. The Value of Compassion

A. Treating the Vulnerable with Mercy (v. 3-8)
B. Love is always the answer inside families
C. Compassion tightens the net people often slip through

3. The Value of Responsibility

A. Taking responsibility for the voiceless....Pre-born infants, mentally challenged, orphans
B. How? Get involved: Adopt, Vote, Encourage others
C. Look at the Cross of Jesus.
Kindness toward those who deserve wrath
Mercy toward those vulnerable to their own inability
Responsibility for sins He did not commit

Conclusion:

A. The value of my respect
B. The value of my compassion
C. The value of my responsibility (Who/what am I waiting for?)
