We need to live up to what we've already attained. So we're going to look at how to Embrace our Identity and live out of who God says we are.

What are you worth
What are you worth?
To a Chemist…$160 bucks, worth of minierals
To a financial planner 2.3 million, lifetime earning potential
to a black market dealer 45 million, worth of body parts
To those who love you…Priceless.
The value we place on ourselves pales in comparison to the value God placed on us.
Ps 139:13 David tells us For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your value is not based on your looks, your wealth, your education, or even your talents or abilities, it is based on the one who created you.
God set the price, and that price was God only Son Jesus.
It’s like this, What is the value of something?
If you go into an auction and see a painting with a estimated value of 1 million dollars. Is it worth a million?
maybe not to you. but if someone is willing pay that much for it then it is.
something is not worth the lowest bid. but rather the highest bid wins
The one who willing to pay the most sets the value.
What about you, who was willing to pay the most for you?

What are you good at?
What do you like to do?
What do your friends say about you?
What have you done in the past?
What are your dreams for the future?
How do you describe yourself with your work and relationships?
When you ask these questions or yourself, it can help you learn where your strengths lie, they are important to know, but are your strengths and gifts really who you are?
I may be called many things.
A husband, a father, a son, a brother, and uncle, a pastor.
But if your identity is based on your relationships or your job what happens if those relationship break down, or your loose your job.
Is your identity in Jeopardy?
What defines me at my core is not my relationships, or my job, but rather the one who created me.
I am first and foremost a child of God.
That’s where my identity come from.
Anywhere else and your heading for a lifetime of disappointment.
But your identity in Christ does not change.
Even if you screw up, it doesn’t change who you are!
So who are you in Christ?

In Christ I am completely accepted. God says that…

I am a member of Christ’s Body (1 Corinthians 12:27)

I am a minister of reconciliation for God (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
I am God’s co-worker (2 Corinthians 6:1)
I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6)
I am God’s workmanship, created for good works (Eph 2:10)
I may approach God with freedom and confidence (Eph 3:12)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! (Phi 4:13)

Knowledge itself isn’t enough. We can’t hold it as an idea in our head or sentiment in our heart, we need to work out its implication in every area of our lives.

What is your heart? It’s your intellect, emotion and will. What you think, what you feel and what you do.
How do things move from your intellect to your emotions?
It’s a supernatural work of God.
That doesn’t mean we don’t play our part.
Our job often is to line up what we believe with what we do and expect God to line our emotions up with that.
You can’t know what God thinks about you and live the same life the same way.
You can’t be like the people around you.
You’ve been bought with a price you belong to God.
Sin has no hold on you. Consider yourself dead to sin and alive to God. Romans 6:11
Put sin to death. Romans 8:13
Don’t allow this world to conform you. Your mind is transformed as you renew it. Romans 12:2
You’ve been raised with Christ, so set your hearts on things above. Colossians 3:1

…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8
Live up to what you’ve already attained.
What is keeping you from agreeing with God about the truth He sees in you?

There are two reasons to know this list forward and backwards:
1. So you know who you are in Christ
Too many Christians act out of the lies we tell ourselves.
It makes us inept and anemic.
Living out of who you are in Christ gives you authority.
2. So you can tell other believers who they are in Christ
You will be ministering to people who need to be reminded of the truth of how
God sees them. When you pray scripture over them, you can pray with confidence. The
truth of the Word breaks the weight off of people.
