Steps in Wound Care
Unlike physical wounds, emotional wounds are many times hidden...
ILL - Woman with the spider bite.
She came to our house.
She had refused treatment.
She was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider.
Her flesh was eaten away.
The wound was pretty obvious.
Emotional Wounds are not as easy to detect & identify.
Step 1 Reveal
If you are not sure of your emotional wounds… through prayer allow the Holy Spirit to reveal and show you hurts so you can identify the root cause.

Step 2 Deal
Choose to deal with the hurt rather than support, deny or self medicate.
Inner healing is not going into the past and digging up sordid details.
It’s not seeing how much garbage we can remember.
Instead it’s throwing away all the garbage that is there.
It’s having Jesus shine his divine light in all those dark places.
Where Satan has hidden hurts & painful memories.
It’s Jesus walking hand in hand through every second of our lives… past & present.
It’s admitting our need for God to restore us.
Results: Peace
If we could use one word to describe the results of inner healing, it would be peace.
Think of Biblical Characters qho had deep needs and were given peace.
1. Saul of Tarsus -
Before he was Paul, he killed Christians.
Then he became one.
2. Peter -
He felt shame for denying Christ.
3. David -
He was an adulterer and a murderer.
He must have had many painful memories.
Why do we need Emotional Healing?
We are leaving a legacy.
What we choose not to deal with can be passed down to the next generation.
Hurting People Hurt people.
We can’t fully fulfill our God given calling without inserting God into our broken places and we all have them.

Step 3 Heal
Inner healing requires two steps.
1. Breaking Satans bondage and reclaiming our inheritance.
A. Choose to forgive.
B. Bind spirits of fear, anger, jealousy… loose

How to Keep your Inner Healing
We can ??? negative attributes and confessions back if you start dwelling on old wounds.

1. Pray without ceasing.
Live in an attitude of prayer.
Wake up with a prayer & go to sleep with a prayer.

2. Read your Bible and Spiritual books regularly.
3. Praise the Lord always.
Develop a positive outlook.
4. Daily commit yourself to the Lord.
Pray for hHis guidance and wisdom.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal things you are doing that are not pleasing to God.
Stop bad habits.
5. Dedicate your home to the Lord.
Surround yourself with spiritual things that glorify God… Christian music, books, TV Shows, CD’s, Pray for the perfect balance of being int he world but not of the world.
No compromises.
6. Stand against Satan
Take authority over Satan when he comes against you and bind him in Jesus name.
If a spirit of fear is bothering you… you say, Spirit of Fear, I cast you out in the name of Jesus
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Keep repeating this over and over.
Perfect love cast out all fear.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of the faith.
Resist a negative, complaining spirit.
Your words can be spirit filled
7. Get into a spirit filled fellowship… where you feel the power of the Holy Spirit

9. Accept God’s Inner healing by Faith.
Stand on God’s promises… not on what you see.

Constantly forgive & restore.
If someone hurts you, and they will, give it to the Lord immediately.
The moment you hurt someone, say I’m sorry, forgive me.
Go into the construction bridges between broken relationships.
If you’ve offended someone openly, ask their forgiveness.
If they are not aware of your inner feelings.
Be silent.
Ask God to forgive you of your ugly attitude.
