Past: God’s judgement of israel and wicked nations
Future: Christ’s return, new heavens and new earth

(2:13) Rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the Lord. for he is gracious
Looking back to the promises of God
Past: God’s judgement of israel and wicked nations
OT men and women would tear their robes as a sign of mourning. God however desired an inward change, not just outward. He sought broken hearts, not torn garments.
Future: Christ’s return, new heavens and new earth

All will be saved who call on the name of the Lord
