19(Psalm 005,01-12) David's Devotional Time

David in this Psalm speaks about his “daily devotional schedule.” All Christians know the necessity of such habits if one would live victoriously.

A.      Communion – Verse 1 – “My words”

B.      Meditation – Verse 1 – “My meditation” – Solitude

C.      Supplication – Verse 2 – “The voice of my cry”

D.      Adoration – Verse 3 – “Will look up”

III. What Were the Benefits Derived

A.      Mercy – Verse 7 – “In the multitude of thy mercy”

B.      Leadership – Verse 8 – “Lead me, O Lord”

C.      Faith – Verse 11 – “Those that put their trust in thee”

D.      Joy – Verse 11 – “Let them ever shout for joy”

E.       Protection – Verse 11 – “Thou defendest them”

F.       Blessing – Verse 12 – “Thou wilt bless the righteous”

G.      Favor – Verse 12 – “With favor wilt thou compass him”

A.      We come to worship with a proper thankfulness (multitude of your mercy).
