One WORD from God can change everything in your life.

We are shaping our lives around one WORD from God.
“All the greatest things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word.”
Winston Churchill
Show Video: the world react to being called beautiful.
What word sums up 2019 for you?
How many of you planned that word to sum up your year?
Words:
Fun, nothingness, cloudy, unsure, awaking, conflict, suffering, momentum, unsure, deconstruction, journey, chaos, fear….
Activation:
What word sums up your year?
What word did God want your life to be about this year?
Engage, identity, joy, courage, strength, health, faith, confidence, forward, yes, awakening, hope, clarity, adventure, humility, teachable, hungry…
Activation:
Step outside yourself and ask God, in one word, what is this year about for (your name) Jonathan Hanson?
If we don’t listen to God and plan around His word, life will happen to us.
We can hear from God a word that will shape our next year.
In the beginning was the WORD.
Father’s Word in our lives is His blueprint that we build around.
3 Keys to be good ground:
· Hear,
· Understand, and
· Bears Fruit.
2019 represents:
The number 19 includes two things: faith and hearing
Nineteen = Faith and Hearing
The 19th letter of the Hebrew alphabet is the kof, which literally means
Kof = “the back of the head.”
The back of the head is the trauma center of the brain. God is doing a work on your life in that specific area.
Key Decisions
The places your life where you made a key decision that has not brought life to you.
It is a decision you made to protect you from pain but has brought more pain.
What Key Decision have you made?
Explain how they understand that this decision was made with the resources they had at the time: Now that this Word from God and you are in a new place, what new decision are you making?
How will your new Key Decision impact your life, those around you, your future? How do you feel in this new truth and how can you remember this for the future?
The word for this family is ‘Treasures’.
Activation:
Look to the person next to you.
Say, “I am a treasure.”
I will seek to understand you as a treasure.
I am a treasure of Christ.
We are treasures.
Look for treasures in every area of our lives.
People, Christ values in all areas.
Matthew 13:52 NASB95
52 And Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
Dig Deeper:
My word for the year is Hope.
Romans 5:3–5 NASB95
3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
I see that tribulation, perseverance and proven character are all part of the process of hope.
I also see that the love of Father being poured out through Holy Spirit is what I need to focus on in order for this word to be manifest fully in my life.
Closing:
Hebrews 4:12 NASB95
12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
When God’s word pierces through to your heart it unites the Body, Soul and Spirit and cuts away what is not truth.
When you say out loud to yourself the Word of God it changes you from the inside out.
Show Video: 100 humans what do you love about yourself.
Activation:
Lay hands on someone:
Reveal this treasure (word) more fully in 2019.
Look up your word in the Bible this week and ask God to reveal to you more about His word for you.
Resources:
1 Peter 1:22–25 (NKJV)
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because
“All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.”
Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
1 Timothy 4:4–5 (NASB95)
4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
5 for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.
Psalm 119:147–148 (NASB95)
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I wait for Your words.
148 My eyes anticipate the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.
John 1:1–5 (NASB95)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
