Spiritual Servant
man of God - held in honor - all he says = help ?
Saul - gift for the man ?/
Servant - quarter shekel silver / Saul - great >
How is it that Saul did not know about Samuel…?
All the use they would make of the man of God was to be advised by him whether they should return home, or, if there were any hopes of finding the asses, which way they must go next—a poor business to employ a prophet about!
Most people would rather be told their fortune than told their duty, how to be rich than how to be saved.
If it were the business of the men of God to direct for the recovery of lost asses, they would be consulted much more than they are now that it is their business to direct for the recovery of lost souls; so preposterous is the care of most men!
I Want You To See God’s Sovereignty Here!!

What is the point of this story?
How does this apply to me today?
This is not a story about a man who loses something valuable and is unable to find it.
This is a story about a man who uncovers buried treasure while searching for a penny.
Saul was not seeking after God and yet God chose him.
If you do not belong to Christ today know that He is pursuing you
If you do know Jesus today know that it is not because you went looking for Him but rather He for you
Saul was not seeking after God and yet God chose him.
Therefore how much more should we be encouraged to seek God for we WILL find Him
Therefore never give up sharing and praying for those that are lost
