In the Footsteps of Fools
 
NIV Ecclesiastes 5:1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God.
Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.
Dt 8:19 If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow *other* gods and *worship* and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed.
20 Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.
Psalm 119: 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a *light* for my *path*.
106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.
* Know the truth (go near and listen – learn from their mistakes)
* Why act like the ignorant… the fool
* God does not want quantity if it forsakes quality… (wrong motive… under the sun mentality)
 
Foot in the Mouth like a Fool

* Dreams  are often brought on by trials… so is it that foolish talk with an outpouring of words (the more we YAK the more likely we are to stick our foot in our mouth)
* Kids swinging a rock or something from a string… rough housing… MOM – “Somebody’s going to get hurt!”
* When you make a promise to God… only a fool would not fulfill it - -
* Lord I surrender my life, I make you my Lord, I give you my all… WELL?
* Better not to make a promise than not keep it - ~*~* to the kids… we are going to do this or that… never happened…
* Only a fool repeatedly dines on toe-jam…
* Do not make excuses… make good on your promises to God!

Standing in awe at the Foot of the Cross
