2 สั่งเขาว่า "จงเข้าไปในหมู่บ้านที่อยู่ตรงหน้าท่าน ครั้นเข้าไปแล้วในทันใดนั้นจะพบลูกลาตัวหนึ่งผูกอยู่ ที่ยังไม่มีใครขึ้นขี่เลย จงแก้มันจูงมาเถิด
3 ถ้าผู้ใดถามท่านว่า `ท่านทำอย่างนี้ทำไม' จงบอกว่า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าต้องประสงค์ลูกลานี้ และประเดี๋ยวพระองค์จะส่งกลับคืนมาให้ที่นี่"
4 สาวกสองคนนั้นจึงไป แล้วพบลูกลาตัวนั้นผูกอยู่นอกประตูที่สี่แยก เขาจึงแก้มัน
5 บางคนซึ่งยืนอยู่ที่นั่นถามเขาว่า "แก้ลูกลานั้นทำไม"
6 สาวกก็ตอบตามพระดำรัสสั่งของพระเยซู แล้วเขาก็ยอมให้เอาไป
7 สาวกจึงจูงลูกลามาถึงพระเยซู แล้วเอาเสื้อผ้าของตนปูลงบนหลังลา แล้วพระองค์จึงทรงลานั้น
8 มีคนเป็นอันมากเอาเสื้อผ้าของตนปูลงตามถนนหนทาง และคนอื่นก็ตัดกิ่งไม้จากต้นไม้มาปูลงตามทางนั้น
9 ฝ่ายคนที่เดินไปข้างหน้า กับผู้ที่ตามมาข้างหลัง ก็โห่ร้องว่า "โฮซันนา ขอให้พระองค์ผู้เสด็จมาในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ทรงพระเจริญ
10 ความสุขสวัสดิ์มงคลจงมีแก่อาณาจักรของดาวิด บรรพบุรุษของเรา ที่มาตั้งอยู่ในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า โฮซันนาในที่สูงสุด"
Having trained horses, I can tell you that sitting on the back of a horse or donkey and having that horse or donkey NOT buck/jump, is amazing.
More amazing than that is the choice of a donkey.
Roman victory parades after >5000 enemies had been killed.
Involved magnificent animals to show off the greatness of the leader.
Christ came on the back of a beast of burden…a servant’s animal…not the horse of a might general!

41 ครั้นพระองค์เสด็จมาใกล้ทอดพระเนตรเห็นกรุงแล้ว ก็กันแสงสงสารกรุงนั้น
42 ตรัสว่า "ถ้าเจ้า คือเจ้าเอง รู้ในกาลวันนี้ว่า สิ่งอะไรจะให้สันติสุข แต่เดี๋ยวนี้สิ่งนั้นบังซ่อนไว้จากตาของเจ้าแล้ว

41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
Jesus is looking our over the city of Jerusalem…and He sees the future of the people there. He sees the destruction that will come upon the city in 70AD.

14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

42 ตรัสว่า "ถ้าเจ้า คือเจ้าเอง รู้ในกาลวันนี้ว่า สิ่งอะไรจะให้สันติสุข แต่เดี๋ยวนี้สิ่งนั้นบังซ่อนไว้จากตาของเจ้าแล้ว
43 ด้วยว่าเวลาจะมาถึงเจ้า เมื่อศัตรูของเจ้าจะก่อเชิงเทินต่อสู้เจ้า และล้อมขังเจ้าไว้ทุกด้าน
44 แล้วจะเหวี่ยงเจ้าลงให้ราบบนพื้นดิน กับลูกทั้งหลายของเจ้าซึ่งอยู่ในเจ้า และเขาจะไม่ปล่อยให้ศิลาซ้อนทับกันไว้ภายในเจ้าเลย เพราะเจ้าไม่ได้รู้เวลาที่พระองค์เสด็จมาเยี่ยมเจ้า"
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
Walking by faith reveals the truth of a situation, but often only when it is in the past, not before!
