1:1-5

Apostles….

·                     ἀπόστολος,  apo (ἀπο) “from” and stello (στελλο) “to send,” thus referring to the act of sending someone on a commission to represent the sender.  Someone sent with authority like the OT prophets

·                     Special calling….I Cor 4:1-5

·                     Not from man or by man

·                     From God the Father

·                     From Christ the risen One….Rom 8:11, Col 2:12 

Grace and peace to the Churches

·                   ἐκκλησία,  from καλέω to call and ἐκ out , simply the called out  ones (publicly).

·                   Grace……Heb 2:9, Eph 2:8, Rom 3:21-24

·                   Peace….Lack of warring (war against our souls and each other)

He rescued us (WHY?) (to pluck out) Acts 7:34, 26:17, Matt 6:13

·                     Gave Himself (singular once) …..Rom 5:8

·                     He protects is own....I John 5:18-21,

·                     This present evil age….Eph 2:1-3,  John 17:15

·                     He is glorified…δόξα… splendor; brightness… Matt 24:30 Rev 21:11,23

·                     Remember it is His glory…….Luke 12:27

·                     Make sure you can see His glory ...... John 11:38

·                     Forever.. αἰών (ahee·ohn)..Rev 11:15

To Him be the glory for the forever, the forever amen.
