Salvation Is Available To You - Acts 16:25-40

Question: How would you respond if you had done something good and went to prison?

I. The Preparation Of Salvation - L - v. 25-28

A. There must be a strong witness. - L - v. 25

Phillippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

1) You Need prayer.

2) You need to think and praise God.

Lesson: You can rejoice in tough circumstances when Jesus Christ fills you with His Spirit.

B There was a movement of God. - L - v. 26

C The jailer thought he was doomed. - L - v.27

D Paul gave a call of hope. - L - v. 28

Lesson: God uses helplessness and hopelessness to prepare one for Salvation.

II. The Cry For Salvation - L - v. 29-30

A. There was an immediate search for Salvation. - L - v.29-30

B. The jailer cried out for Salvation. - L - v. 30

III. The Proclamation Of Salvation. - L - v. 30-33

A. The necessity of believing. - L - v. 31

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

B. The necessity for understanding of God's Word. - L - v. 32

C. The necessity for repentance and baptism. - L - v.33

"Repentance" is moving away from worldly desires and turning to Jesus desires.

IV. The Fruits Of Salvation. - L - v. 34

A. The privilege of ministering to fellow believers. - L - v. 34a

B. There's great rejoicing. - L - v. 34b

John15:11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

V. The Effect Of Salvation On The World. - L - v. 35-40

A. The world has a sense of guilt. - L - v. 35

B. The world had fear and humility. - L - v. 36-38

C. Paul and Silas were visited and released. - L - v. 39-40

Lesson: God is able to deliver believers through their trials.

Conclusion:

Five Points of Interest:

1) Remember, people are watching and listening to your testimony. - L - v. 25

2) God can use our testimony. - L - v. 26-30

3) There are always people who want to know about Jesus. - L - v. 30

4) Those seeking God need to know how to be saved. - L - v. 31

5) God knows to protect His children. - L - v. 35-36
