Annas was the High Priest Emeritus
He was the Head of the Religious Mafia.
He made money $$ off Exchange of money in the Temple
He made money off the selling of animals for Sacrifice.

Jesus had cleansed the temple & thrown the Mafia out of the temple.
Annas was upset & looked for a way to get even.
Jesus was illegally arrested at Night.

Annas questions were irrational and unjust and Jesus let them know it was so.
