Secular: Alone in a crowd…
… meeting with a group you don’t know
… visiting a different church
… lonely
… apart from community and comfort
… waiting to be connected!!

- some people experience that in their relationship to God!!
-          But we know…
Biblical: NIV 1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life

If God says …NIV 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
- It is often easier to accept God’s promises for others than ourselves?
(weird, eh?)

5)      Spiritual Warfare
Satan’s lie… “Look at you… you are not behaving like a Christian!”
sounds a lot like “The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will *die*.'"
4 "You will not *surely* *die*," the serpent said to the woman.
5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

It must be a definite decision!!

Three tests:
1)      Do I believe God’s Word?
2)      Do I have the witness of the Holy Spirit?
3)      Do I have the walk?
