Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Brothers and Sisters it is because of God’s Mercy

Therefore “allows us to understand that what we are getting ready to discuss is in light of what we just studied.

The Person Is ALIVE!!
What are we Sacrificing?
Its our bodies, our flesh, our human desires our desire for self.
What is the purpose of this

holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.

So that we may be holy and pleasing to God

What does “true worship” mean?
So that we may be holy and pleasing to God
It is putting the desires of God so far above your own that you don’t consider your self, not only putting God above yourself but all others as well, because you love Christ so much that you do nothing for yourself but show only the love of Christ.

2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

I’m going to read a recent post to instagram that tells the real threat of conforming to the world.
Then I will read a response to that post that will confirm the need to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Finally if we are not making God’s Word a high priority in our lives how will we ever know the will of God.

Guys this world scares me because no longer is this the world only acceptable practice outside the church but has become a mainstay in the church itself. When the church tries to emulate the world so that it remains relevant. In my college classes half of the people in there have the very basics of doctrine wrong, and these people are either already pastors or striving to be one.
Its only by following Jesus’ words in : This is a daily struggle, there are many days when I don’t want to get up and pray or study Scripture, but who do I love more myself or God.
