10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake. 13 This will be your opportunity to bear witness.

Most people don’t know they are lost
We don’t wait for them to figure that out
Most people don’t know they are sinners
We don’t wait for them to figure that out
Most people don’t live like there is a consequence for their choices
We don’t wait for them to figure that out
The best time to be a witness of God is when you see a need
The best time to be a witness of God is when you are pricked in your heart to speak out
The best time to be a witness of God is when the Lord Himself has placed an opportunity right in front of you
[listen to Jesus lament over Jerusalem in the days of His earthly ministry…]
39 And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” 40 He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”
41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, 42 saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side 44 and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
Jerusalem did not recognize the day was upon them to make peace
Without recognizing their opportunity peace was hidden from their eyes
They did not know the time of their visitation...
[That is why the best time to be a witness is today!!!]
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,
“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
on the day of testing in the wilderness,
9 where your fathers put me to the test
and saw my works for forty years.
Right now someone, anyone ought to recognize today is the day of your visitation
A golden opportunity to come to Jesus and know Him for the pardoning of your sins

[It is very important that you do not receive the Gospel in Vain…]
1 Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For he says,
“In a favorable time I listened to you,
and in a day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 3 We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, 4 but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, 5 beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; 6 by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; 7 by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; 8 through honor and dishonor, through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; 9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.
11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians; our heart is wide open.
Paul was a great witness
He understood that now is the favorable time
to serve
and to be saved
no matter the conditions
not enough money
not enough people
not the right time
limited resources
not the right speakers
not the right topics
not enough knowledge
we have all the excuses
Not realizing that in our midst is the ultimate difference maker, Jesus Himself...
[Brookfield there stands before us a great opportunity
our teaching has been on point
we are counting the cost
making preparations
counting the days
envisioning success
awaiting the answer to our calling
Can I Get a Witness????

It may seem like everything is staked up against Christianity
However there is significant movement bringing light to the existence of God and the validity of the Bible.
That is why we must be always ready to give an answer for the hope that lies in us
6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Do you know how to give an answer
Can I get a witness???
Our opportunity is not for some time in the distant future
Our time is now, God is not far from any of us...
26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,
The One who stands outside of time has chosen our time and our place
We cannot continue to operate in silence
A false security of not making any waves so that we can remain comfortable
You are unaware if this is exactly what God has been waiting for
14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Who knows why you have come to the Kingdom today
Who knows why your presence was determined today
Who knows the purpose of you hearing this message
In this place
On this day
At this time
In this way
Who knows Friend
All the evidence points to magnificent things ahead
Are we ready to be a witness
Are we ready to stand up and be counted
Ready to testify in this world of a Hope that transcends all this world can offer
Then stand up and be counted

17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
