Intro

KB reference
"It feel like fire in me
Feelin light a fire indeed
Light up entire cities with the glory you got em trippin
I'm standing awe with me
All other alls are empty
Better make haste to the great taste to the great faith
Man don't know what y'all been missin, ha
When you can feel it
This is more than music
The weightiness of the Savior can bury it and consume it
Yeah that weight got a weight to it
Awaken you to God
That weight got a weight to it
Come and see a Man who died
And came alive
Jesus the Son of God
I'm on the dot He should be on the top of our little eyes
I'm talkin lookin I look to the book the book of life
And you can see glory
If it's boring you got crooked sight"
Chorus
Glory, All I see is you
Holy one, I love you
In 2012, Kevin Burgess of Reach Records released an album titled "Weight & Glory." First track titled Weight Music. The build up of instruments to the hook... And what's being lifted up?
KB says that if we think this is boring we've got crooked sight because in here IS GLORY. That's my prayer for us tonight. Our eyes would see God as He is.
Some

God’s holiness invites us IN and sends us OUT.

God’s holiness keeps you IN and pushes SIN out.

Isaiah 6:1–8 ESV
1 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” 4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” 8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

What is God’s “holiness?”

The word actually means set a part.
He’s different. For example - professional athletes.

How is God’s holiness “set a part?”

Different because He actually is The Lord on His throne in this vision - kingship, control, power, dominion, no worries.
Different kind of environment - I mean check out the description of the animals - The seraphim above him - walkout music on repeat that never gets old and all the world joins in and sings. For example - sweet caroline.
Different responses are given:
Isaiah 6:4 ESV
4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isaiah responded with - “woe is me!” ?
Isaiah responded with - “woe is me!” ?

What does this mean?

When in the presence of greatness, it’s hard to stay cool.
For example: Story of when I met my all time favorite baseball coach at CFA drive through in Fayetteville. #9 with a diet lemonade.
Isaiah’s response is WAYYY different than mine. God’s greatness made him feel as though he were about to die! No greatness exists like that other than God’s.

How does God’s holiness invite us IN?

“Then one of the seraphim flew to me.”
“OT rituals in Leviticus to stay pure.”
“Appointing of priests to help lead us in holiness.”
ULTIMATELY - “The sending of Jesus to make things whole and holy.”

How does God’s holiness send us out?

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
OUR RESPONSE SHOULD ALWAYS BE - “Here I am! Send me.”
