Introduction
The BVM was assumed into heaven Body and Soul by Jesus occured after her life on earth ended It has been celebrated in the Easter and Western Church for many Centuries, But recently defined dogmatically Ex-Cathedra by Pope Pious XII in 1950.
Body
Assumption flows from BVM Immaculate Conception – born without original sin remaining sinless.
Paraphrasing Second Reading; Sin stings us to death, he potency of the poison of the sting that kills is the Law. Death brings corruption and decay. Therefore If no Sin – no death – No corruption. Thus BVM’s Assumption into to Heaven Body and Soul
BVM is the Mother of the Church, mother given to us by Jesus on the cross, Mary the Queen of Heaven . There are a number of very interesting Parallels between The Old Testament Ark of the Covenant and BVM, Ark of the New Testament.
BVM is the mother of the Church. There are a number of very interesting Parallels between The Old Testament Ark of the Covenant and BVM, Ark of the New Testament.
1) Ark/BVM Word Bread High Priest
2) David: how does the Ark come to me leaping with Joy Ark staying 3 months blessing the household of Israel: Same with Mary and Elizabeth.
3) Ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple, A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman* clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
Conclusion
In the Gospel a woman in the crowd cry’s out to Jesus, saying BVM womb is blessed for bearing Him. And Jesus says “Rather blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
In the Gospel a woman in the crowd cry’s out to Jesus, saying “blessed is the womb that carried you.” And Jesus says “Rather blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
This woman was praying the middle part of the rosary: paraphrased she is saying “Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus” Blessing Mary guides us to hearing observing and being blessed by Jesus the living Word of God. The Angels said to Mary “Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with you, blessed are thou among women,” this woman in our Gospel adds and “blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus,” and the Church says, “Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death”. Praying and contemplating the mysteries of the Rosary draws us in to the life and hearts of Mary Jesus’s best disciple and ultimately ever closer into the life and heart of Jesus, in holiness humility and servanthood, preparing us for our hour of death and the Resurrection of the living heaven in the presence and joy of God with all the angels and saints for ever and ever Amen.
