6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. the church was aware of it, but they were not addressing the problem

Paul commands that the person should be “delivered to Satan for the destruction of the flesh”

My Main Point

If God has truly delivered us from sin and evil in this world, we should not allow its sinful influence to make its way inside the church.

Because are supposed to be celebrating our freedom from the power of sin

the “leaven” - stands for the sinful acts that are in direct violation of God’s moral truths

sins described in the 10 commandments

actions and behaviors that cause us to transgress the Word of God

Jesus was our Passover - He died to judge “Egypt” in our lives, and to pay the price of our redemption

The Church, as a result, has become “unleavend” - cleansed, purified

The Church is THE unleavened bread -

The Church is celebrating the feast of unleavened bread that began after Passover was killed at Calvary
