We made LOVE visible…Making God visible
Actions do that
Mother - In - Law
Family Cabin (Joesph Oregon)
Lots of Snow Winter
Family Hike - Drops Phone - OH SUGAR! - We copy her to this day
Vail & Vaida
Picking up on mine and Courtney’s habits
Some good - Some not so good
Vaida - Talks to her wrist (iWatch style)
Vail - Says “Sucker” to whoever she beats in games and says fricking …(That would be my bad)
In other words they Parrot us...
Parroting: "A person who WITHOUT thought or UNDERSTANDING merely REPEATS the words or IMITATES the ACTIONS of others."
We are all imitating something or someone.
We have observed and picked up on habits
Some by choice and others by just the environments we find ourselves in rubbing off on us
We have also been taught by someone...
This can be a really good thing or even a really bad thing...
Just depends on the teacher.
If the wrong things are leading us...
The wrong voice
Past hurts
Fear
Insecurities
Anger
Greed
If those things are what we have learned and are imitating...
Our lives will be empty
We will never be satisfied
We will remain hurt
We will hurt others
We will live a life of “What if”
Self - Destructions awaits us...
Don’t Be A Parrot
We want our actions and our words to begin to align.
We all struggle with this - not just culture - but the church as well...
We want this church to be a community of people who imitate Jesus and who are commited to SERVICE.
Diakonia
Greek - 32 time in the New Testament
Meaning...
Ministry - Service - Relief - Support
(Martha prepares a meal for Jesus)
(The word is a ministry)
(Serving Food)
(Famine relief)
, (Paul’s language for Ministry to others)
(Spiritual Gift - Gift of serving)
Another Greek noun coming from Diakonia
Diakonos - SERVANT
One who serves
"Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love."
Love God more by loving more.
Love God more by serving more.

We are all imitating something and or someone. - The question for you?
What and or Who are you following?
How are you doing in imitating God in your own life?
