Notes & Transcripts

Between its beginning and the present, any congregation has had many ups and downs, good times and not-so-good times.  Likely, at an unconscious level, many members long for the days when the congregation was feeling up and everything was clicking on all cylinders.  As the congregation has called each new pastor, it likely has been hoping this pastor would lead them back to days of glory.  As we reflect on the reality of these pastorates, it is important to ask, “When that pastor was not able to take us back to glory days, how did we cope?  Were we able to learn to experience the grace of God even in down times?”
