When you are in your quiet time and you read this passage
Image
1 Corinthians 6:19–20 GW
19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves. 20 You were bought for a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body.
You like this verse and so you say I thing is talking about how God wants us to be healthy.
Bring Jake up front and point out that he is over weight and should take better care of himself.
Was I judging?

The Problem With Judging

Everyone has habits, hurts, and hang ups.
It is so easy though to point out the faults of others
Our own “hang up” don’t look so bad.
Hear what Jesus says on this matter.
Luke 6:37–45 CEV
37 Jesus said: Don’t judge others, and God won’t judge you. Don’t be hard on others, and God won’t be hard on you. Forgive others, and God will forgive you. 38 If you give to others, you will be given a full amount in return. It will be packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into your lap. The way you treat others is the way you will be treated. 39 Jesus also used some sayings as he spoke to the people. He said: Can one blind person lead another blind person? Won’t they both fall into a ditch? 40 Are students better than their teacher? But when they are fully trained, they will be like their teacher. 41 You can see the speck in your friend’s eye. But you don’t notice the log in your own eye. 42 How can you say, “My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye,” when you don’t see the log in your own eye? You show-offs! First, get the log out of your own eye. Then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend’s eye. 43 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. 44 You can tell what a tree is like by the fruit it produces. You cannot pick figs or grapes from thornbushes. 45 Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts. Bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts. Your words show what is in your heart.
What we need to do is look into the mirror.
Take a selfie of your heart.
Your words show what’s in your heart
Here’s a great principle

W.I.T.T.Y

What Is That To You?
We always get in trouble when we ignore the WITTY principle
When we start trying to be the Holy Spirit for somebody else.
When we start trying to be God for somebody else.
God is saying, I’m talking to you. Are you listening? I’m talking to you. Not what do I want to say to you to say to your husband or to your wife or to your kids or your parents or your boss. What is that to you? You work on you. He’s saying, don’t judge other people. Stop being so judgmental and you just get your own act together.
There are times when God uses other people to speak to another person. Gal 6:1-6
But we must be very careful!!!
Here are three guidelines

Be patient and pray

Don’t immediately go and just blab it to that person
You wait
You be patient
You pray about
You make double sure you are hearing from God

God will use you to confirm what he’s already said to them.

Be sure you understand that
Matter of fact this happens all the time
Francis “God calling you to preach”

God usually uses you without you being conscious of it.

Has anyone ever said anything and the words went straight to your heart
People will say to me - You where preaching right at me.
What is that? - It’s the Holy Spirit - I’m up here thinking not one single person is listening
Romans 14 says this about concerning my own responsibility.
“We will all be judged one day, not by each other’s standards, [thank God!]
or even our own,
but by the judgment of God [because God is just, right, fair and true. And nobody’s going to say you’re not fair.]
It is to God alone that we will have to answer for our actions.”
Romans 14 says this
“We will all be judged one day, not by each other’s standards, or even our own, but by the judgment of God.”
“It is to God alone that we will have to answer for our actions.”
