Where is Jacob?

Jacob had no place to call home
He has no pillow
He is in no man’s land
In the session of uncertainty. even the greatest in the Kingdom of God have those moments. Seems like God is nowhere, these can be times of encounter.
No Man’s Land is a place of Grace
Sees three things
Sees a stairway -Wide grand stairway. He sees angels - discribe - Fear Not, they come with something of the glory of God. They are going up and coming down. Even in this place of no man’s land the angels are there. God was at work in the work of the angels. those places of empty.
..............................
The Lord was present
The Lord who see the big picture…When ontop of a mountain you can see far. God sees, God comes to Jacob as he sleeps at the bottom of the stairway.
He says three things
I am with you…These are words spoken to an untruthful man, a man who has broken up his family, a man who is under the treat of death. God is also the God of dirtbags. God is the God who does not give up on people!
2.....
3. I will Bless you
How do you respond to God’s intervention in the life of Jacob
Can you imagine how his family may have responded to Jacob following his encounter with God. The offence of Grace. How can God forgive a Jacob? How can we forgive the Jacob’s of the world.
New Testament : Nathaniel under the fig tree - Jesus tells him that he saw him under the fig tree. You will see greater,
Surely the Lord was with me....v16
Story of those deprived - In a dump with rubbish and how a chap saw a school that he hope to build in what currently was a dump. The stairway of God lands anywhere, even there, even here! Perhaps you are in a place right now God seems invisible, where is God. This passage teaches us something of the invisibility of god. This story is calling us to proclainm this truth, God - you are in this place.
