When Thou Are Converted

Satan wanted to crush Simon Peter and the other disciples like grains of wheat. He hope to find only chaff and blow it away. But Jesus assured Peter that his faith, although it would falter, would not be destroyed. It would be renewed, and Peter would become a powerful leader.

Satan was not just after Peter, He was after all of , because the word “You” in the Greek is plural

Luke 22:31 (NASB95)
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat;

Luke 22:32 (NASB95)
32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”

Even when things seem like they are about to break loose, wwe ought to stay with the Lord.

Throughout the word of God we find help in times of trouble;

Promises when Tempted:

Power to tread on evil forces

Luke 10:19 (NIV)
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Safety through Christ’s Intercession

Luke 22:31 (NIV)
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.

Luke 22:32 (NIV)
32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

The Crushing of Satan

Romans 16:20 (NIV)
20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Provision of a Way of Escape

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Help in Time of Temptation

Hebrews 2:13 (NIV)
13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.”

Final Victory

James 4:7 (NIV)
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Revelation 3:21 (NIV)
21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Jesus had stated to Peter that when you are “Converted”  or When you turn back” Strengthen your brothers.

Only when you have been “Converted”

Conversion comes only after the death and resurrection of Christ.

We can not strengthen someone else unless we have gone through or we have experience that which we are try to strengthen another.

We  must stay  with the Lord if we ARE GOING TO BE of any service to our brothens
