v. 11 - The question to the watchman
v. 12 - The response from the watchman
v. 13 - 17 The Message to Arabia
v. 13 - Fugitives off the beaten path
v. 14 - 15 - Provision for the fugitives
v. 16 - 17 - Summary and certainty of the vision

Why is this passage saying this?

So that God’s people would trust in the word of the Lord.

What’s the principle?

The word of the LORD will absolutely result in the supremacy of one glory.
Applications:
(1) God’s word is more powerful than we often believe. God’s word is so powerful that His word can cause events to take place.
(2) God’s word is so powerful that His word can cause events to take place.
(2) God’s word is declared so that people would believe.
(3) God is glorified when what God has said is believed. God’s word is for one glory.
(4) Jesus Christ is the declared Word of God who is to be believed for God’s glory.
- He displayed unparalleled faith in the word of God
- He displayed unparalleled power with his words.
- He displayed unparalleled glory through his miracles.
- YET Jesus suffered the consequence of those who did not have faith in the word of God.
- YET Jesus suffered the consequence of death.
The substitutionary nature of Jesus’ life and death cannot be overlooked. Jesus Christ was committed to the glorification of His Father. This meant that He would live by faith in the word of the Father. He would call men and women to faith in Himself. This glorifies the Father.
When all the kingdoms of this world are completed, there will be the glory of one still standing, and that is the glory of God and His kingdom.
(i) Unbeliever, the justice of God is always right and is inescapable. Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ today, and you can be saved.
(ii) Christians, take time to see how God is glorified as we continue to recognize that the life we live now is by the faith of the Son of God.
Don’t place your hope in anything and everything else.
(iii) Feed your hunger and thirst for the word by intentional means:
Read
Study
Pray
Attend
All because of who you already are in Christ.
(iv) Contrast the declaration of the word of God with the declarations you hear in our world today. Live your life according to the one that has proven absolutely true.
In the end, God is glorified when His people who have believed His living word, intentionally believe in his written word.
