Entice: to attract artfully or by arousing hope or desire : tempt

Lust + Enticement = Sin

effeminate /ɪˈfɛmɪnət/
■ adjective derogatory (of a man) having characteristics regarded as typical of a woman.
Sexual Sin...
So we have 3 dimensions of Living On The Other Side of Sodom.
First One: Pitching Your Tent, your attention, your desires towards Sodom.
What entices You as a man or women?
What do you need covering/protecting from?
What are some places or things you must stay away from.
THE SECOND ONE: He sat at the gate;
To control the gates of one’s enemies was to conquer their city.
Part of Abraham’s blessing from the Lord was the promise that “your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies”
When Jesus promised to build His Church, He said, “The gates of Hades will not overcome it”
An understanding of the biblical implications of “gates” helps us interpret Jesus’ words.
Since a gate was a place where rulers met and counsel was given, Jesus was saying that all the evil plans of Satan himself would never defeat the Church.
Besides being part of a city’s protection against invaders, city gates were places of central activity in biblical times.
It was at the city gates that important business transactions were made, court was convened, and public announcements were heralded.
Lot had no power, no influence, he wasn’t affective in winning anyone over to the Lord or keeping the ones he had when he arrived.
Lot became a Sodom Citizen..
Jesus tells us because we are not of the world the World hates us..
sanctify: sanc·ti·fied, sanc·ti·fy·ing.
to make holy; set apart as sacred; consecrate.to
purify or free from sin: to make productive of or conducive to spiritual blessing.
Third One: He lingered
What could have made Lot hesitate?
There were five cities—Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and Bela or Zoar (Gn 14:2)—all situated in the valley of Siddim (i.e., the Salt Sea).
Of these, Sodom is mentioned most frequently in Genesis—36 times in all, of which 16 references are to Sodom alone.
Sodom became known in biblical literature as the supreme example of a wicked city, and its destruction (19:24) was used as a warning of God’s judgment in other biblical writings (Dt 29:23; Is 1:9–10; Jer 23:14; 49:18; Lam 4:6; Am 4:11; Zep 2:9).
The story of Sodom’s destruction found its place also in the NT (Mt 10:15; Lk 10:12; 17:29; Rom 9:29; 2 Pt 2:6; Jude 1:7; Rv 11:8).
When the Son of Man comes again.
SO heres the warning sign about lingering
