The Good Fight
We have a walk…a walk of Faith.
Each one is separated by the journey we are on.
Obviously, our paths have crossed, all for the better as we sharpen each other (iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another...proverbs 27:17).
We are GODS children, all members of the Body of CHRIST.
Corporately, we perform different functions as we are not all called to do the same things.
We are cooks, accountants, hair stylists, bus drivers, lab technicians, pharmacy technicians, and many more…all to be done for the kingdom.
Yet, we all have different walks, but have the same focus…I hope.
- To walk, as we are GODS children, waht we have received.
2 Timothy 1:6...For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of GOD which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
The gifts of healing, recovery, hope, peace, joy, and love…eternal life.
So, where we before?
Hopeless…the world is hopeless.
Everyone is looking for happiness…moments that they can hold on to, memories to hold onto, like all of us.
There is a difference with us…we have happiness on steroids…JOY!!!
<<EXPAND>>
JOY come from knowing who is with us…the Holy Spirit.
- Don’t hold back the good news of JESUS…2 Timothy 1:8...Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me HIS prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of GOD,
Suffering…we don’t like to suffer.
I’m sure that Timothy didn’t like suffering either.
But, if it shows glory to GOD, to our strength of Faith, so others can see our hope…then…WE SUFFER!!!
<<EXPAND>>
Friends and family will walk away…1 Timothy 1:15...You are aware of the fact that all who are in Asia turned away from me,
We’ve seen this as we walk for CHRIST.
Some are supportive but do not want to let go of the world.
They seem to hold on to chaos thinking that they can get through it alone…without JESUS’ love.

We should be discipling all the time.
When with brothers and sisters, we should be empowering, edifying, sharing stories, etc.
What we have in experience in CHRIST will help others who have not experienced what you have.
Teaching should not stop, even when at the BBQ or pool day.
2 Timothy 2:1-2...You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
<<EXPAND>>
Always profess your Faith and hope in JESUS.
The hope in HIM can get us through many life trials.
2 Timothy 2:11-13...It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with HIM, we will also live with HIM; If we endure, we will also reign with HIM; If we deny HIM, HI also will deny us; If we are faithless, HE remains faithful, for HE cannot deny Himself.
If you have a moment of weakness or slip…JESUS remains Faithful to us as his groom is to his bride.

Don’t hold onto things…stuff…as being more valuable than you Faith.
No one can serve 2 masters.
this is not to say that we should not take care of what we have been blessed with, but don’t seek joy in stuff.
Seek what GOD desires, not what you desire...
2 Timothy 2:22-24...Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.
The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps GOD may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
<<EXPAND>>
We should also not quarrel.
We should be able to be slow to speak, slow to anger, be quick to listen.

2 Timothy 2:26...The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps GO may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

2 Timothy 3:14-16...You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Never forget this.

Need I say more...

This letter that Paul wrote to Timothy was written when he was imprisoned in Rome and his death was coming quickly.
He spent a lot of time with Timothy, who he considers, his spiritual son.
He wanted him tom come soon to see him as many have deserted him when he needed them.
He acknowledged that JESUS stood with him and will bring him home to his heavenly Kingdom.
What we go through is nothing compared to what Paul and the other apostles went through, and many are going through in the Middle East.
Knowing this, we should never be afraid to share the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST TO ANYONE.
Let's pray...
