The truth can hurt you Or the truth can change you What would truth do to you
I just wanna be happy But if I keep on doing the things That keep on bringing me pain There's no one else I can blame If I'm not happy Wasted time but now I can see The biggest enemy it was me So I'm not happy
Cry yourself to sleep Shout and raise your hands It wont change a thing child Until you understand
If you're tired of being the same If you're tired of things not changing It's time for you to get out the way Don't get stuck in how you feel Say Jesus take the wheel He knows the road that you need to take (But it only works if) If you wanna be happy (Look at yourself and say)
Don't you wanna be happy I just wanna be happy
But if I keep on giving my heart For people to tear apart The healing will never start So I can be happy Will I ever be happy
Cry yourself to sleep Shout and raise your hands It wont change a thing child Until you understand
(If I'm talking to you then say) If you're tired of being the same If you're tired of things not changing It's time for you to get out the way (You been down too long)
We ,must learn what happiness is. Its a state of being. So many people believe that happiness comes form external sources but true happiness comes from internal sources.
Although “beatitudes” is frequently used as a proper noun to denote a collection of eight dominical logia at the beginning of the Matthean Sermon on the Mount (; par. ), the term “beatitude” properly designates a whole body of sayings with a similar literary form. Such sayings, found in Egyptian, Greek, and Jewish literature, are technically known as macarisms (from the Greek makarios, “blessed” or “happy”).
Collins, R. F. (1992). Beatitudes. In D. N. Freedman (Ed.), The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary (Vol. 1, p. 629). New York: Doubleday.
Blessed, Fortunate and Happy here all be the same thing. This state of being blessed shows a external “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
4  “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5  “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
6  “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.
7  “You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for.
8  “You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
9  “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.
10  “You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom.
11–12  “Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
1) Blessed are the poor in spirit: ,
It is really thoughtful for Jesus Christ to use the word "poor" in the spirit, was he encouraging emptiness and lack spiritually? No. He meant the humble in spirit, those who come or stand before God in humility without any iota of pride. ,  But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
. 23  One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
The word there for such is "Blessed". We are encouraged to drop ego, and whatever that promotes pride in us whenever and wherever. God does not despise a broken spirit and contrite heart - Psalm 57:15. No proud man will be in heaven. Heaven is meant for the humble in spirit- , neither is it for those with humble looks but proud in the spirit.

2) Blessed are they that mourn : ,
The blessing for those that mourn is comfort. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter. They are mutually connected with the Spirit of God for comfort- ,  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, ,  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
, . The mourning here implies that entire feeling which the sense of our spiritual poverty produces. These are those who do not justify their weaknesses and sinful state rather they look unto Jesus Christ in brokenness as they mourn for their salvation and total transformation, trusting in the Holy Spirit- , . When we lament over the state of our spirit, the Holy Spirit comes to empower us with the overcoming grace to live victorious Christian life. It is the heart of one who desires revival and spiritual awakening-
. 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

3  to grant to those who mourn in Zion—
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,

3) Blessed are the meek :
The meek are those that are lowly and gentle in mind before God and men. The riches and good of the earth belong to the meek. , But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.
and delight themselves in abundant peace.
The meek man is a wise man - .Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
Meekness is one virtue that should be seen in every Christian. We should not be high-spirited or violent. Meekness models the humility of Christ- It is the meek Christian that receives the word of God- James 1:21.21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

1) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: , , .
A man that hungers after righteousness is tired of and never interested in the garbage of worldliness. He needs Christ or nothing. A "Christ-less" soul is a restless soul. Nothing but the living water can quench this thirst - . A spiritual hunger and thirst is majorly of the heart, it goes beyond our lips. This is a heart-cry to God - . This heart craves for the complete satisfaction which comes from God alone, because the earthly pleasures cannot fill such a heart. The scripture says that such people are Blessed - , . Today, God is calling us to return to him - , .
2) Blessed are the merciful - ,
The merciful are those who are always ready to forgive, ready to help the poor and needy, and ready to overlook what they might well condemn- . The heart that is connected to God acts like God- . It takes mercy to heal the sick - . It takes mercy to deliver the captive - and only the merciful are sincere and dedicated in soul winning - , . The merciful redeems - . The mercy givers will receive mercy - , . We must understand that every character of God even mercy has the 'principal' - . Mercy without the divine wisdom is not godly.
3) Blessed are the pure in heart - , ,
Purity of the heart means being pure in conduct and thought which includes honesty and integrity. The pure in heart are those whose hearts are pure towards God and man. There is a connection between our hearts and eyes. A man who has stains of sin cannot see God. Purity of the heart clears our spiritual vision. The heart loves God is connected with an understanding that perceives God. God is interested in our hearts- . We must be careful of the content of our hearts- -18, . No other eyes will see God except the Holy - Hebrew 12:14. Our hearts can only be pure by God(the word of God)- , ,
1a) Blessed are the Peacemakers: , ,
The blessings that is exclusively reserved for the peacemakers is the divine grace of being a family of God - They are the Sons or children of God. , . We must exhibit the character of the Father that begets us - The Heavenly Father. God is the God of peace: Hebrew 13:20, , . Heaven is a place of peace and for peacemakers- . Persecution means pursuing or pressing on to oppress, harass and also to bring to judgment or punishment. The blessing is only for those who are persecuted for being righteous. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those people. We see a relationship with "the poor in spirit". The poor in spirit receives the same blessing because they are righteous and seek for righteousness alone. Look at Jesus' words on persecution: , , .
