THINGS GOD DOES NOT KNOW

HEBREWS 4:13

I.                  He does not know a better way for people to be saved than by the word.

A. The Bible searches the heart  Hebrews 4:1

B.      The Bible message is essential to faith  Romans 10:17

1.    “Consequently, faith comes form hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”

C.      The Bible message is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16,17:

1.     “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.  For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ’The righteous will live by faith.’

II.               He does not know of a better way to remove His people out of the world than by the rapture.

A.      Christ shall come as a Thief in the night  Luke 12:39-40

1.     “But understand this: if the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.  You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

B.      Christ shall come to resurrect both the dead and living saints.

1.      I thess.4:16,17

C.      Christ shall come to change saints to be like him

1.     Phil. 3:20,21 “But our citizenship is in heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

2.     I John 3:2  “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

III.           He does not know of a more glorious future experience for the earth than the Millennium.

A.      Then Jesus will reign as King over Israel the head of all nations.

1.      Luke 1:32  “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

2.      Isaiah 9:6, 7; Deut. 28:13; Isaiah 2;1-4

B.      During the reign of Christ the curse that is now upon the earth shall be removed.

1.    Isaiah 11:6-9  “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion will eat straw like the ox.  The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper’s nest.  They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the lord as the waters cover the sea.”

C.       During the Millennium saints shall reign with Christ

1.      II Timothy 2:11,12  “Here is a trustworthy saying: if we died with him, we will also live with him.  If we endure, we will also reign with Him.”

IV.           He does not know of a more terrible place for those who reject Christ to spend eternity than Hell.

A.      Hell is a place of eternal fire  Matt.25:41

1.     “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

B.      Hell is a place of eternal torment  Luke 16:23

1.    “In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.”

C.      Hell is a place of eternal imprisonment  Luke 16:25,26

V.              He does not know of a more severe judgment in which to deliver Satan than the lake of fire.

A.      Satan shall be there because of his rebellion against God

Isaiah 14:13-15

B.      Satan shall be there because the lake of fire was prepared for him and his angels  Matt.25:41

1.    “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

C.      Satan shall be there as the one who has blinded souls.

1.      II Corinthians 4:4  “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.

2.      Luke 8:11,12  “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.”

VI.           He does not know of a more blessed dwelling place for his people for eternity than heaven.

A.      In Heaven we shall be free from all sorrow.  Rev. 21:4

1.     He will wipe every tear form their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

B.      In Heaven we shall rest from our labors.  Rev. 14:13

1.     “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”  “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest form their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

C.      In Heaven, we shall serve the Lord.  Rev. 22:3

1.     “No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.”
