The Holy Bible: English Standard Version.

().
Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
WHO WAS STEPHEN?
We are introduced to Stephen out of family drama.
A feud begins to arise in the body of Christ over the care of widows.
The Hebrew widows were getting the daily distribution of food but the Hellenists (Greek) were not.
It turned into a “your people” “my people” problem.
A “your tribe” “my tribe” problem.
Instead of being one in Christ there began to resort to old lines.
The apostle have the people elect 7 men to step in to serve the people so they could continue to minister the gospel in teaching.
Stephen was a problem solver!
He was a servant.

How do you operate when you are filled up?
FREEDOM!
You can take care of the things you need to take care of without the worry of your car stalling out or having to stop in the middle of your day to get gas.
How do we get IT?
We in America want to know “How do I get this?!” What’s the formula?
We want to tagline this kind of stuff, sell this stuff and then franchise it!
It’s not something you GET, it’s something you receive
It’s not directed by your wisdom its direction by God’s providence.
Answer: You surrender everything at the foot of the cross.

The God of Glory”
Acts 7:51
54 Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him.
55 But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
56 And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together at him.
58 Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him.
