Every person will encounter or go through one of, if not all three stages of life, Egypt, Wilderness and Promise Land or Possessing Stage.
The first is one that we are all born into.
The next two are Christian stages, knowing which of these two stages one is in will greatly help in reducing the frustration one experiences through the journey
1.
The Egypt life
We were born into sin
In Egypt people are powerless
Slaves to masters who mistreat them
The appearance of being free but are in bondage
They are strangers in a land that is not theirs
In Egypt you don’t do anything to earn salvation
In Egypt a savior is needed
At the right time the savior came
In Egypt, God hears your cry and initiates the contact
2. The Wilderness life
num 13:27-28
Num 14:6-19
Saved
Received the savior but still rebelling
Out of Egypt but not in the Promise Land
Got enough of God that you don’t fit in with the world and got enough of the world that you can’t fully commit to God
In the wilderness you experience Miracles for preservation
In the Wilderness you use God’s gifts to make idols
In the Wilderness you have the fruit in hand but are worried about the giants
Feel abandoned
Working Egypt out of you
Learning to enjoy the life God gives
3. The Promised Land life
Gal
In the Promise Land you have the Lord and Savior
You completely surrender to the will of the Father
In the Promise Land you walk by faith and not by sight
You will receive miracles for possessing
The land flows with milk and honey
In the Promise Land nothing else satisfies
In the Promise Land you use your gifts as sacrifices
The shift takes place and you start living life
