Confess your sins and receive forgiveness and cleansing
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Yield every known area of your life to the control of the Holy Spirit and the Lordship of Jesus Christ

Take time with this. Ask, seek, knock. The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is often quick, but mostly slow.
Confess any sin you are aware of.
Ask Him every day to fill you with His Holy Spirit.
