Bullies, mean people, not being good friends, excluding people when we play.
ETC.
This is a guy who should have been nice but he did not want to get his hands dirty.
Another preacher or person that went to church.
He looked at the guy and just couldn’t bring himself to get involved.
Maybe it would take too much work.
Maybe he was just too busy.
Or maybe he was too cool to get involved.
Now this is like your worst enemy coming to you when things were not going well at all.
They see you and they know that something needs to be done.
What do you think he would do?
Now he is not even liked by anyone in the family of the man hurt.
He is not their friend.
What would you think he would do?
Now keep in mind the two guys who were friends at church, who they respected did not want to get their hands dirty or didn’t have the time to stop and help.
SO what would this guy do?
Whattttt?
He did the opposite of what everyone else would do.
HE took care of this guy, who bullied, and treated really bad.
It is like he played with him when nobody else would.
He saw a guy that everyone else treat bad and made sure that he was taken care of.
What a different way of doing things.
Sometimes we are not really nice people.
We don’t treat everyone like God expects us too.
Even at church we can not be nice.
When we play we exclude others, we don’t let them play with us.
Even as adults we see people as too much work or we get too busy to help each other.
let them answer....
Jesus gives us the answer:
So are you a neighbour?
