LITERARY -
Passing on the Blessing to Jacon, but it seems that this blessing is far off reality.
Again, an heir must find a bride in a far off country and that is what Jacob must do. Unlike his dad, who had a servant secure a bride for him, Jacob is responsible for finding his own bride.
HISTORICAL -
Israel is still wandering in the wilderness longing to go back home. They would have resonated with Jacob’s exile from the land of Promise. Perhaps, they should just set up stakes in the wilderness…Jacob the same.
BIBLICAL -
