In our lives, as Christians, most of the time, it is not the big major sins that we are struggling with. In fact, most of us would never struggle with the major sins if we were more careful about the little sinful things that we often accept in the first place.

An interesting note here is, This area is still the mostly Gentile area, not Jews!

This is once again, a sign of their utter lack of belief in the Scriptures that prophesied so much about Christ already. They would not believe even if Christ had done ANOTHER miracle for them.
Just like in , Jesus has no faith in the faith of people who trust in signs and wonders.

what is leaven? Leaven is added to bread to make it rise.
You only need a little bit to affect the whole loaf of bread.

41 แต่จงให้ทานตามซึ่งเจ้ามีอยู่ภายใน และดูเถิด สิ่งสารพัดก็บริสุทธิ์แก่เจ้าทั้งหลาย
42 แต่วิบัติแก่เจ้า พวกฟาริสี ด้วยว่าพวกเจ้าถวายสิบชักหนึ่งของสะระแหน่และขมิ้นและผักทุกอย่าง และได้ละเว้นการพิพากษาและความรักของพระเจ้าเสีย สิ่งเหล่านั้นพวกเจ้าควรได้กระทำอยู่แล้ว แต่สิ่งอื่นนั้นก็ไม่ควรละเว้นด้วย
43 วิบัติแก่เจ้า พวกฟาริสี ด้วยว่าพวกเจ้าชอบที่นั่งอันมีเกียรติในธรรมศาลาและชอบให้เขาคำนับที่กลางตลาด
44 วิบัติแก่เจ้า พวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี คนหน้าซื่อใจคด ด้วยว่าเจ้าทั้งหลายเป็นเหมือนที่ฝังศพซึ่งมิได้ปรากฏ และคนที่เดินเหยียบที่นั่นก็ไม่รู้ว่ามีอะไร"
37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. 38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. 39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. 40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? 41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. 42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. 44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

We know the Pharisees were all about the rules!
They knew nothing of the PRINCIPLES behind the rules
They knew nothing of Loving God and serving Him out of Love - Vs.42
They were satisfied by comparing their rule-keeping to others
As we have seen recently, The Pharisees were all about the Traditions of the Elders
AND, they used those traditions to make the Word of God of no value.
Now, the Bible is full of things that we should do, and things that we should not do. When I stand and teach what the Bible says and encourage you to Love God and obey the teachings of the Bible, that is not Pharisaism. That is Biblical preaching/teaching…Take Church attendance as an example.
We ought to be coming to church, not to put our time in because that is what Christians do…but, we ought to be coming to
Connect with Christ and learn of Him through teaching, preaching and Worship - Strengthened
Care for each other through the Church - Serving
Confession to those we offend
Compassion on their needs
Counselling - Iron sharpeneth iron
Communicate God’s love to our community - Sowing
When we come to church, don’t expect everyone else to be perfect…coming to church is like going to the gym/riverside to exercise…Some of the people there are fit, but not everyone. We don’t condemn someone who is exercising for trying to get in shape…we seek to encourage them!
That is how it is in the church as well. Spiritually, we have mature and immature people coming to church. We all know that if we were once fit, it doesn’t take long to not be fit if we stop exercising. The same is true spiritually as well.

Herodians and Sadducees are the same group as per cross-references with , etc.
The Herodians encouraged the compromising of religious beliefs/teaching to make the Romans happy and to win their favour so that they would retain their national independence and pride.
They also denied the resurrection of the dead, therefore they denied the resurrection of Christ.
Thirdly, they denied the existence of angels and demons.
What Bible teaching are we willing to set aside so that we can increase our position or gain the approval of people?
OR, What Bible teaching are we rejecting because Politicians and people of science and learning tell us that it is ridiculous?

Is your faith in signs and wonders = experiences?
Is your faith like that of the pharisees? or is it from the heart?
Is your faith for sale like the Sadducees/Herodians?
