DAY 1: Encounter in the Temple
ZOOM IN
ASK: Jesus asked his parents ‘Didn’t you know I would be in My Father’s House?’
Why do you think He asked them that?
Point out: poster, Jesus came to follow God’s will.
Jesus was sent from Heaven to complete His mission and fulfil God’s will for humanity.
Tell: We have a mission from God, He has a special purpose for our lives.
As we follow Jesus, we also follow God’s special purpose for our life.
We call that God’s will in the church.

DAY 2: Encounter at the River
ZOOM IN:
Ask:
SPOT IT ACTIVITY
Tell: What are some ways we can respond to Jesus?
If we really understand who Jesus is, we can worship, obey, and tell others about Him.
Why does Jesus have so many names?
Doesn’t that get confusing?
Each name reveals something special to us about His power, personality, or mission.
Example, JTB called Him the Lamb of God, that reminds us that He sacrificed Himself for our sins, much like the Hebrews did to atone for their sins, but when Jesus was sacrificed, God was satisfied once and for all.
Matthew
DAY 3: Encounter on the Water
ZOOM IN:
Have you ever hoped it would stop raining and it did?
I don’t know about you, but there have been many times that I wish I could control something.
Jesus has never felt that.
Jesus was, is, and will always be in complete control of everything.
Even nature obeys Him.
Ask: What else shows us that Jesus is God’s Son?
UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL ACTIVITY
Remind: When Jesus rose from the dead, He proved that He had power over everything, even death!
Say: Peter and the other disciples were afraid in our passage today, do you ever feel afraid or anxious?
Jesus’ power over the wind and waves calmed their fears.
When you are afraid or anxious, just remember that Jesus is in control and if He allows it, He will use it.
