แต่พระองค์จะซ่อนอยู่มิได้ He Could Not Be Hid

1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

(The Greek Woman)

2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

The coming of Christ was NOT how they expected it to be, but that was because they ignored what the Bible OT said!!!

Again, God’s ways are not ours.

His thoughts are not ours.

His wisdom is not ours.

4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

(This is all of US!!!)

7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

(Symbolic, yes, but literally fulfilled in our text in Mark 7!)

8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

The promises of Christ being the Light of the World were well prophesied, but they were mostly ignored by the people of Christ’s day.

He could not be hid because there was a remnant that believed the Scriptures.

Vs. 25-30 = “ ผู้หญิงนั้นเป็นชาวกรีก / The woman was a Greek...”

ผู้หญิงนั้นเป็นชาวกรีก / The woman was a Greek...”

The cultural context provides a test of her faith -

Had Christ’ mission to the Jews been completed? No.

Had things been opened to the Greeks? Not openly.

Her faith was the key to this healing. Faith in Who He said He was!

On 2 occasions Christ is said to be amazed by one’s faith - Weirsbe says they are both referring to Gentiles! and

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

God does not prefer one before another. Period.

กาลาเทีย 3:26-29

26 เพราะว่าท่านทั้งหลายเป็นบุตรของพระเจ้าโดยความเชื่อในพระเยซูคริสต์

27 เพราะเหตุว่า ทุกคนในพวกท่านที่รับบัพติศมาเข้าร่วมในพระคริสต์แล้ว ก็ได้สวมชีวิตพระคริสต์

28 จะไม่เป็นยิวหรือกรีก จะไม่เป็นทาสหรือไทย จะไม่เป็นชายหรือหญิง เพราะว่าท่านทั้งหลายเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันในพระเยซูคริสต์

29 และถ้าท่านเป็นของพระคริสต์แล้ว ท่านก็เป็นเชื้อสายของอับราฮัม คือเป็นผู้รับมรดกตามพระสัญญา

Galatians 3:26-29

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Nationality means nothing for salvation

Position means nothing for salvation

Sex/gender means nothing for salvation

We know that all those things have meaning in other areas of life (boss or employee), but not for preference in salvation!

This is the area that the demoniac was from, whom Jesus freed and told to stay there and tell his family what great things the Lord had done for him.

Can He be hid in your life?

Vs. 31-37 “He hath done all things well”

the crowd was following because of the works, not the theology.

When our theology is correct, it will lead us to the correct works.

Our faith is not dead, but alive.

Our faith is to follow Christ

4. คุณกำลังติดตามความสว่างของโลกหรือไม่?Are You Following The Light Of The World?

A Year ago this week, we began looking at the life of Christ from the perspective of following the light. We’re more than half way through His Life and at times I feel like I am taking too long, and yet I know I have not taught nearly everything that I have learned in my study and preparation…there just isn’t time.

But let me ask you a couple of things to summarize our sermon today and help us apply it to our lives...

As an ambassador of Christ, is there anything in your life that is hiding Jesus? (Sin)

As the representative of Christ, are you carrying HIS message, His light faithfully?

Is your faith in what you want, or in Who Christ IS and Who He said He is?

Are you following Jesus by doing “กระทำล้วนแต่ดีทั้งนั้น / all things well?”
